Meredith Butler Timothy (Andy) Brouillette Profile Being shy a reserved, an introvert in every sense of the word, I was

a little nervous to be interviewing a peer. However, within mere minutes of sitting down and talking with Andy I learned he was an amazing character to talk with. Unsure of how he was feeling towards the interview I was quick to realize he had no reservations whatsoever and was easy to talk to. And in talking and interviewing Andy, I was able to grasp a better view of Andys personality and ambitions. Timothy (Andy) Brouillette was born in Concord, North Carolina on the 25th of November. Andy is a single child and has lived in North Carolina for his whole life, both of which are very different from myself. He went to Winecoff Elementary in the Cabarrus school county. His favorite subjects as a kid were math and sciences which continued to grow throughout middle school and high school. From there Andy attended Northwest Cabarrus middle school and high school. Understandably, Andy was just as nervous as most others but overall really enjoyed middle school and high school and the freedoms/liberties that came with it. He continued to enjoy math and science and with new possibilities to explore medical careers Andy participated in health science classes and even had the opportunity to shadow nurses and observe surgeries as a class. Andy was a member of many clubs in high school including Junior Engineer Technology Society (JETS), Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) and Chi Alpha which is a Christian bible group. Having applied and accepted to Western Carolina, UNC Charlotte and a college in Morrisville NC Andy was influenced by his parents and what was available for his intended educational path to choose Charlotte. Currently, Andy is undeclared like me but had a very centralized idea as to where to go from here. Heavily influenced by his medical clubs and mathematical/scientific background Andy is looking into a pre-med course and is taking some general education classes to refine his course. Me and Andy are similar in the aspect that both of us were not interested in Greek life, due to its surrounding atmosphere, as well as learning communities, which was influenced by our undeclared majors. However, he is looking into opportunities such as the Study Abroad program and is a member of the Baptist Campus Ministry on campus. His dream job, or what his goal is as of now is a career as an anesthesiologist which combines the subjects he really enjoys like math and science. With such a career, if all goes according to plan Andy is looking into medical school at Chapel Hill. Andy was contacted soon before the start of year to inform him about the UNC Honors Program. Andy hoped to gain the experience and skills I feel every freshman

currently in the honors program wishes: to meet new people and gather life experiences t can be applied in our future careers and outside of college. Although the year has just begun Andy is enjoying the experiences so far and is excited to see where the rest of the year will go from here. All in all I really enjoyed interviewing and getting to know Andy. He has a very welcoming and kind personality to him to accompany his ambitious goals. Im positive that wherever Andy ends up and whatever he majors in, hell be fantastic at it and will go extremely far.
