Student Profiles
Ella Malin MSc Accounting & Finance United Kingdom
Having my Masters has helped now that I am in the work place and gaining experience. My directors are really impressed with the qualification and mention it regularly to others. I started my graduate traineeship after I finished my programme and since I started Ive already had a 25% pay-rise and Ive been posted to work in one of our international offices. I have learnt a lot from the programme such as fine tuning my presentation skills; listening to others; understanding people from different backgrounds and making good use of my abilities. I have also learnt a great deal of business knowledge which has helped me in my current position. For example, how to understand balance sheets, profit and loss, cash flows, money and capital markets and the like. The quality of teaching was very high, as all the lecturers have worked in finance, so they were always up to date with their academic and industry knowledge.

Alfredo Argueta MSc International Business Honduras

The quality of education is of the highest standard, and the quality of my peers in the classroom was just as outstanding. A Masters degree really adds depth to your undergraduate degree and allows you to look at things from a different perspective, allowing you to be more creative with business solutions, ideas and projects. I think the greatest achievement Ive made while in the UK has been the incredible international network Ive built. I can literally say I have contacts all over the world now. It truly fulfilled my ambitions of being able to engage in international business with people spanning the globe.

Jim Yang MSc Marketing Management China

Aston Business School has a global reputation, especially in marketing. The well structured programme gave me an in-depth understanding of marketing management from both academic and practical perspectives. The lectures were delivered by the most experienced professors with an international background. I not only learnt professional knowledge in marketing but also improved my influencing skills, team working and leadership. The communication skills I got from the syndicate group also helped me to develop good relationships with suppliers and always go for win-win negotiations.
