Pastors Corner
Is Thanksgiving Over? As we paused to celebrate a Day of Thanksgiving, one would assume that because of the example of our forefathers-and today we have so much-that we would be an extremely thankful people. But, as we all know, that is not always the case. Its a bit sad, that we sometimes determine our thanksgiving on the basis of how much money we have, is our retirement safe, and that we have a fancy new car. The truth is that all of these things may change at any time. They may drift awayor burn upor someone may steal them. The only thing we have for sure is our relationship with the Lord, and that, in the end, is the one thing for which we should be Most Thankful for. Not just on Thanksgiving Day, but each and every day of the year. Nothing says it like Psalm 100: Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, and we are His; We are His people, the sheep of His pasture.
