C.W.L. DONATION: On behalf of the parish, I wish to thank St. Francis Xavier C.W.L. for the donation of $2,500.

00 which was presented to me this past week. This annual donation is greatly appreciated as is all the hard work that the women do to raise this and other monies which the C.W.L. donates to a number of worthy organizations and undertakings. Some of the funds this year were used to purchase chair caddies which will be of great benefit to our caretaker, John Laviolette, who must constantly set up and take down seating in the parish hall. May God bless our C.W.L. members and the work they do in fulfilling their mission statement as "a national organization rooted in gospel values calling its members to holiness through service to the people of God".

S.F.X CWL LENDING LIBRARY

In conjunction with Pope Benedicts decree making 2012-2013 a Year of Faith in the Catholic Church, our parish CWL is undertaking a special project. It plans to establish a lending library in a vacant room of the rectory, whereby parishioners may access books, CDs, DVDs etc. which might nurture ones faith development, increase ones knowledge of Church teachings, or simply enrich ones spirituality in daily living. The CWL has budgeted a limited amount of money for the purchase of appropriate resources, but it is also reaching out to parishioners who may have spiritually based resources in their homes that they have read or listened to, and are no longer using. If you have any books, CDs or DVDs that you are willing to donate to this worthy cause, please drop them in the basket so designated at the main doors of the church. Please put your name on the resource so that proper acknowledgment can be made. All donated items will be screened for conformity with Church teachings.
