There are many opportunities to incorporate prayer into Christmas preparation and celebration. If you do not already do it, this is a good Year of Faith to turn your eyes to Jesus by: Blessing an Advent Wreath, Christmas tree, and Creche. Handouts with the prayers are available on the bookrack in the church vestibule, as are Little Blue Books, Sacred Space for Advent and many other materials for Advent reflection.
For more information regarding ways to volunteer this Christmas Season, please call Karen at 745-0011, x 18. Thank you!
(Insert Graphic 2304-0112.tif) We want to thank the Adult Choir for the beautiful music that filled our Church for the 50th Anniversary of the Holy Hour Program and the Anointing of the Sick Mass. We are truly thankful for your gifts of music and appreciate your time and dedication to St. Augustine's Church. Why a Holy Hour? The Eucharist means God has answered: The Eucharist is God as an answer, as an answering presence. Now the initiative no longer lies with us, in the God-man relationship, but with Him, and it now become really serious. That is why, in the sphere of Eucharistic adoration, prayer attains a new level; now it is two-way and so now it really is a serious business (Pope Benedict XVI)
