SOFTWARE INSTALLATION AUTOMATIC UPDATE VIEWING/USING THE SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS INSTALLING SUPPORTING SOFTWARE PRODUCT INFORMATION & SUPPORT NOTE -- SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS -- Windows XP sp2, Windows Vista, Windows 7 - Intel Pentium or compatible processor - 16 bit colour display, 800 x 600 resolution (1024 x 768 or higher recommended) - CD-ROM drive during software installation - 200 MB or more available hard disk space - Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher - Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 (Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 installer is includ ed in the product software setup package) - Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader software version 6.0 or higher, for some product content (Adobe Reader software installer is included with this CD) - Microsoft Word or Microsoft Word Viewer, for some product content (Microsoft W ord Viewer software installer is included with this CD) - Microsoft Excel with macros enabled for some product content (not included wit h this CD) - Adobe Flash (for viewing the animated marshalling signals) - Administrator permissions during product installation and updates - Internet connection (for automatic updates) -- PRODUCT CONTENTS -- Airport Handling Manual 32nd Edition software. The software includes: - The entirety of IATA's annual Airport Handling Manual content - Airport Handling Manual Toolbox documents (.doc, .pdf and .xls formats), inc luding fillable forms - Adobe Reader installation software - Microsoft Word Viewer installation software - Adobe Flash installation software - IATA product disclaimer (Disclaimer.txt) - IATA End User Agreement file (IATA EULA.rtf) - This information file (Readme.txt) -- PRODUCT SOFTWARE INSTALLATION -Note 1: Installing the software 1. The product CD-ROM autoplay menu is normally launched when the product CD-ROM is placed in a workstation's optical drive. 2. On the autoplay menu, choose "INSTALL" to begin the software installation set

up process. 3. The software installer setup process will present a license agreement that mu st be agreed to in order to continue with the installation. 4. Enter user and company name information and enter your unique product install ation ("serial") number. 5. Accept the default software installation folder or select an alternate folder . 6. Follow the remaining prompts to complete the installation. To launch the autoplay menu manually, in Windows Explorer navigate to the root d irectory of the product CD-ROM and launch file "autorun.exe". To begin the software installation setup process manually, in Windows Explorer n avigate to the root directory of the product CD-ROM and launch file "setup.exe". Note 2: Installation location This IATA software is designed and distributed in single user license format onl y. The software may not be installed in a shared network environment, accessible by multiple users. If you experience any trouble installing or using the softwa re, ensure that installation has been executed on a single workstation by a user with full system permissions (member of the administrator's group). Note 3: Required Windows system components This IATA software requires the presence of several Windows system components: - Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 - Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) - Microsoft Access 2007 Data Engine The components are normally installed automatically during the software installa tion setup process when a system appears to not have them present. Successful in stallation of the system components and this IATA software requires that a user with full system permissions (member of the administrator's group) be logged on and execute the setup process. -- AUTOMATIC UPDATE -This IATA software contains an automatic update mechanism. The automatic update will be used to provide fixes if serious problems are found in the application o r the data. There is no planned updates. The automatic update requires an internet connection to function properly. No ot her method of update is supported. The automatic update is triggered every 30 da ys by default. The IATA application must be running for this to happen. The automatic update can also be manually launched from the "Check for update" o ption of the application's Tools menu and also using the "Check for update" item in the application's folder under the Windows Start menu. -- VIEWING/USING THE SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS -The section formerly known as the "AHM Toolbox" has now been integrated into the main AHM content. To access the documents from within the application, navigate to the relevant AHM section using the table of content. The content now include s links to the toolbox files.

Supporting documents are included in Adobe Acrobat .pdf, Microsoft Word .doc and Microsoft .xls file formats. Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader software version 6 o r higher is required to open the .pdf content. Microsoft Word or Microsoft Word Viewer is required to open the .doc content. A licensed version of Microsoft Exc el is needed to use the .xls content. Refer to section "INSTALLING SUPPORTING S OFTWARE", below, for information on how to install Adobe Reader and Microsoft Wo rdViewer. Microsoft Excel is not provided on this CD and must be acquired through your res eller channels. -- VIEWING THE MARSHALLING SIGNALS -AHM now sports a new section where all Marshalling Signals have been grouped. Th e signals are displayed using Adobe Flash animations and therefore require that Adobe Flash be installed. Refer to the Adobe Flash section, below, for informati on on how to install Adobe Flash. -- INSTALLING SUPPORTING SOFTWARE -Adobe Reader Adobe Reader software is included on the Airport Handling Manual CD-ROM in the " Tools\AdobeReader" directory. The software enables viewing of Acrobat .pdf files . The software does not enable modification of Acrobat .pdf files. Installing Adobe Reader software from the product CD-ROM autoplay menu: 1. On the product CD-ROM autoplay menu, click "Install Adobe Reader" button. 2. Follow the installation instructions to complete the installation of Adobe Re ader. Installing Adobe Reader software from Windows Explorer 1. Using Windows Explorer navigate to your system's optical drive. 2. Enter the "Tools\AdobeReader" folder. 2. Double click the .exe file. 3. Follow the installation instructions to complete the installation of Adobe Re ader. Microsoft Word Viewer Microsoft Word Viewer software is included on the Airport Handling Manual CD-ROM in the "Tools\MicrosoftViewers" directory. The software enables viewing of Micr osoft Word .doc format files. The software does not enable modification to Micro soft Word .doc files. Microsoft Word Viewer software from the product CD-ROM autoplay menu: 1. On the product CD-ROM autoplay menu, click "Install MS Word Reader" button. 2. Follow the installation instructions to complete the installation of Adobe Re ader. Installing Microsoft Word Viewer software from Windows Explorer 1. Using Windows Explorer navigate to your system's optical drive. 2. Enter the "Tools\MicrosoftViewers" folder.

2. Double click file "wdviewer.exe". 3. Follow the installation instructions to complete the installation of Microsof t Word Viewer. Adobe Flash Some content contained within the IATA AHM software is included in Adobe Flash f ormat, including the Marshalling Signals section and advertising items located i n certain AHM sections. On systems where the AHM software detects that Adobe Fla sh version 8 or higher is not present, alternate, non-Flash format versions of t he items may be displayed. For best results, Adobe Flash version 8 or higher should be present and function ing correctly on a workstation while using the AHM software. A Flash installer i s provided on this CD in the Tools/Flash folder. The most recent version Adobe F lash technology may also be installed by visiting www.adobe.com. Installing Adobe Flash software from the product CD-ROM autoplay menu: 1. On the product CD-ROM autoplay menu, click "Install Adobe Flash" button. 2. Follow the installation instructions to complete the installation of Adobe Fl ash. Installing Adobe Flash software from Windows Explorer 1. Using Windows Explorer navigate to your system's optical drive. 2. Enter the "Tools\Flash" folder. 2. Double click the "install_flash*.exe" file present 3. Follow the installation instructions to complete the installation of Microsof t Word Viewer.
