Sometimes it is difficult to imagine Gods presence in the normal confusion of home life. The message in todays gospel is God came to John in the wilderness. Even in our busy and hectic home life we are called to prepare the way of the Lord. Your family life can be a voice crying out in the wilderness, an example to other families of Gods presence in a broken world. Living Faith in December: The Lord has done great things for us; we are filled with joy. (Ps 126) This Advent, how can you create desert space or Sabbath rest to hear Gods Word? Can you anticipate opportunities for reconciliation with others that bring the same joy experienced in the Sacrament of Reconciliation? Like John, how can you be a herald of Good News as you prepare for the holidays? How can you proclaim Christs presence amid your gatherings and celebrations? The Church as a whole and all her Pastors, like Christ, must set out to lead people out of the desert, towards the place of life, towards friendship with the Son of God, towards the One who give us a life in abundance. (PF 2) 320 Holy Hours were kept with Jesus last week in Eucharistic Adoration. Words from Mother Theresa of Calcutta: The coming of Jesus at Bethlehem brought joy to the world and to every human heart. The same Jesus comes again and again in our hearts during Holy Communion. He wants to give the same joy and peace. It was the great longing of Mother Teresa for all souls to come to know her Eucharistic Love. Her words impel us: See Him in the tabernacle; fix your eyes on Him who is the light; bring your hearts close to His Divine Heart; ask Him to grant you the grace of knowing Him, the love of loving Him, the courage to serve Him. Seek Him fervently. Making a Holy Hour is a joy! Please contact Judy Soltis at 330-212-0926. A very special Holy Hour for all those experiencing physical, emotional, social and economic needs will be held Sunday, December 16 at 7:00pm in St. Augustine Church. All are encouraged to attend.
Why a Holy Hour? This personal encounter with the Lordstrengthens the social mission contained in the Eucharist, which seeks to break down not only

the walls that separate the Lord and ourselves, but also, and especially, the walls that separate us from one another. (Pope Benedict SXI)
