fficient use of space dictates
that urban areas contain tall
buildings (for sleeping and
reading in), wires packed taut with
speedy electrons (for coffeemakers
and lightbulbs), finely machined
tubes filled with pressured gas, and
randomly distributed nick nacks.
These objects function to support the
large, serious bunny of the urban
space and keep a smile on the faces
of its zippy little inhabitants.

The connexion between rocks
can be understood by recog-

each object and how that rela-

survival requirements.
This is not a new danger; since we have sent monkeys into space the idea of environment has expanded.
Events such as heavy bits from the ether, colliding into our planet are now taken into consideration by monkeys
with televisions, cigars and shiney space ships.

taken individuals into many
unsupportive environments
Wrapped in tortillas of technology, these individuals
collect information, observe and record phenomenon
for later organisation and participate in many
different types of exploration. The failure of these
fragile tortilla shells cause the tasty fillings to spill
everywhere, resulting in a large sticky mess.

has brought us the joy of widespread mechanical
transportation. Mechanical human propulsion
provides many advantages to persons in motion and
their luggage. Problems tend to arise when the rapidly
moving transportation device encounters an unplanned
object in its trajectory, or no longer has the support of
its medium(e.g., an aeroplane falling out of the sky).
Rapid deceleration, and interaction with sharp projec-
tiles also compound the negative effects and stresses of
transportation malfunction.

emoglobin (ntx) loves to transport
oxygen (o). From the lungs to eager
cells around the human structure, our
friend hemoglobin does this valuable work
without complaint in most cases. Jovial and
community minded (o) then participates in all
sorts of useful projects in & with cells far and
wide in and around the human citystate.
Leather clad and sexy carbon monoxide (co)
looks mighty fine to the easily impressed
hemoglobin who grow tired with their job of
moving (o) around. Very quickly the frowzy,
yet helpful (o) molecule is left homeless.
Meanwhile the useful projects remain unfinished. At some point
the reasoning behind these projects are called into question. At this
time they are officially halted.

have an aversion to death. As generations of
microbes live in the shadow of antibiotics they
begin to adapt and organise movements
designed and dedicated to overthrow the
oppressors which threaten their lives.
Incorporating resistance to noxious chemical
compounds is now a part of life for many in
bacterial cultures who struggle with trying to
find a place for themselves in this society. The
constant war on bacteria have forced them into
the position of developing more strategies for
peace, prosperity, and the hope for freedom.

If any emotion can be distilled from the

it must be called joy.
Occasionally, through accidental or legal

xacnits wnicn rtxovt portions of the
physical form have presented folks with
situations of such speed and complexity
that any adaptation or response often fails
to maintain basic function.
As a rolling fragment of metal travelling
faster than sound encounters a semi
solid mass it transfers its energy from
motion to the structure of the recipient.
The recipients architecture, efficent in
design, has few superfluous components,
small percentages of damage often bring
to an end any continuation of the archi-
tectures possible expression.
The human form is durable. For most of
existence, these biological operations have been
able to withstand many of the situations
that came before it with a high degree of
elegance and dignity.

a mass of tissue ( Ap p roxi mate ly 1 4 00- 1 6 00
gra ms of i t) encased in sturdy bone,
powered by various fruity be ve rage s
and tas t y bre ads.
The placement of the ink on this paper was made into a physical form by the co-ordi-
nation of muscles and such organic machinery in conjunction with other human-made
tools of significantly diminished elegance. These tools include a box of somewhat
complicated switches connected to a bulging, glowing sheet of glass. This sheet of
glass is ever changing, the bright, colourful patterns flicker at a reassuring frequency.
Quick, quick.
It was output onto thin sheets of almost inert trees. These trees have been refined past
the point of recognition for the sole purpose of bringing more synaptic doilies and
knit-wear into this fine place we love.
The letters appearing on these pages
have important names. They are
called Trajan, Dante, by lads & lasses,
the world over.
