He who finds a wife finds a good thing,And obtains favour from the Lord

When a man chooses one woman in the community to settle down with and spend the rest of his life with, he is making a public statement to the world that he has found the woman that he cannot live without. If you are single, make sure that you pray before you get married. It is good to always pray. Single man, single woman , you need to pray, pray much before you get married . Your marriage needs to be Blessed by GOD. GOD only Blesses those that have faith in His Word and Obey His Word and Honour His Word. Faith honours GOD and GOD honours faith. To get the Blessings of GOD , you need to have FAVOUR with GOD. To have FAVOUR with GOD, you need to LINE UP WITH THE WORD OF GOD. What does GOD say in His Word ? "... He who finds a wife finds a good thing,And obtains favor from the Lord...". [ Proverbs 18:22 Normally you may seek counsel from your friends, That is natural. That is normal, But you need to get counsel from the wise. You need to pray and get wise counsel from your parents, and especially from your Pastor. In school you get taught that the moon reflects the light of the sun. When it is nighttime in one part of the earth, then in that part of the earth, at night , the moon having no light of it's own will reflect the light of the sun. In marriage, the man initiates the courtship. First he may introduce himself and get rejected. the woman will say that she is not interested, testing his commitment. If the man is committed , he will make his second approach and get to ask her name, where she stays, can he visit, can he see her again. Why ? The man is in love, he just knows that he cannot live without her. The man is in love with this woman and will not rest day and night until she is his and he is hers. The woman the man that the man chooses to marry reflects his character. When a woman accepts the proposal of the man she loves, then she is showing by her public statement that she is a true reflection of the character of the man

she loves. The wife is the reflection of her husband. "..25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish...". [ Ephesians 5:25-27]. The Bible says that husbands must love their wives. Notice "... husbands [ PLURAL ] ... love your wives [ PLURAL ]. The Apostle Paul is not talking of POLYGAMY. Paul is not encouraging or endorsing POLYGAMY. Paul is not telling the brethren to go ahead and get married to more than one wife. NO. That's not what Paul is talking about. Paul was not a Polygamist. I hope you get that. Paul was addressing the Saints and he wanted them to know that since they had been Obedient to the Word of GO in their daily walk with GOD especially in their Obedience to Line up with The Word of GOD in matters concerning Marriage and staying Married in accordance to The WORD OF GOD, then in the eyes of GOD their marriage was BLESSED with the same Blessing that GOD had Blessed the first marriage between ADAM [ One Man ] and EVE [ One Woman]. When people are married, the husband and wife become one. The two become one flesh. Remember that. In marriage, the man and the woman become one flesh. Marriage is that Blessed Union between the man and the woman. There is no time for unilateral rash decisions in married life. As individuals every decision we make in life has consequences. We were not created to be puppets nor were we created to be robots or cyborgs. GOD created human beings to be individuals. God created males and females so that male would marry female , one man marry one woman, and they as a married couple in a BLESSED UNION, would have children. Now , when a man loves a woman and decides to get married to her and gets enough courage and boldness to ask her to marry him and she keeps him in suspense for a brief moment of time that seems longer than New York Minute, and then she accepts and says yes they are in agreement to get married and are

engaged for they have promised themselves to one another. Their promise to one another is a Vow before GOD to get married. Later on they have a wedding ceremony where a Priest presides over their Public Vow so that the community stands as witness that they have made a Public Announcement to marry one another. What has happened ? They have made a public statement that now they no longer live for themselves, they now live one for the other. The husband lives for the wife and the wife lives for the husband. The two have become one flesh. They are now husband and wife. The husband and wife are one and because they are one they have to consult each other before making any decisions.The decisions the husband makes in life affects his wife .The decisions the wife makes in life affects her husband. As husband and wife , the husband and the wife can no longer make individual decisions. They have to consult one another so that they do not place no unnecessary burden on their marriage. They have to do what is good and what is best and true and holy for their marriage.They have to do their best to preserve the sanctity of their marriage.They now live one for the other.
