Celebrang a combined total of 265 years of priestly
service last Thursday at the Cathedral, when the
diocesan community gathered to celebrate the
JubileesofFrsTonyBrady,LexLevey,GeoMulhearn,
Jeremy Stace (50 years), Greg Arnold (40 years) and
John McEnearney (25 years) was a wonderful and
joyous occasion. I would encourage you all to
remember these men in your prayers this weekend,
givingthanksfortheirwillingnesstoanswerGodscall
toserveGodspeopleaspriests.

Ive been asked recently when some of the maers I
havesoughtcommentaboutmightbeintroducedinto
the life of the parish. The answer is aer my return
fromAnnualLeaveinOctober,asIfeltitappropriate
to not be absent from the parish when they are
introduced.Staytunedformoreinformaon.

And speaking of my Annual Leave, it is now less than


twoweeksaway,andsoitisperhapsmelyformeto
conrm the arrangements that have been put in
place:

MonsignorBillFuller,whoiswellknowntomanyof
theparish,willbevisingtheparisheachweekend
topresideoverthenormalSundayMasses.
Unfortunately, the normal paern of weekday
MasseswillnotbeavailableduringmyLeave.
Arrangements have been put in place to ensure
that funerals can connue to be celebratedGreg

The way we approach our communal celebraons of

Do we see it as something that is just about me and


God and lament the intrusion of others into my
Mass,myprayer,myspace?Ordowerecognisethe
presence of Christ in the gathered, and gathering,
community, and reach out to our fellow Chrisans,
ourbrothersandsistersintheLord,sothatthewhole
ChurchcangatherandworshipGodintheliturgy?

major campaign to raise funds for the Forster
Womens Shed, supporng women and children in
crisis. Sr. Kathryn would be most grateful to receive
