the Chrisan faith is ours from the very moment of
our bapsm, and as a community of faith we have a
responsibilityanddutytodopreciselythat.

We can be tempted at mes to focus more on our

owninternalneedsasacommunityratherthanonthe
taskofmakingsurethatothershavethepossibilityof
hearing the Word of Life. How much energy and
resources do we expend on maintaining the status
quothatmightotherwisebeusedforproclaimingthe
GoodNewsoftheKingdom?

As we prepare, as a community, to meet next

weekend to discern the future of our parish and the
resources that we have at our disposal, perhaps it is
mely to reect on just what it is that we are about,
and what we might consider as important and
valuableaswelooktothefuture.

Lastly, and again, congratulaons to those children

from our community who have celebrated their First
Communion this weekend and last. May this
signicant occasion mark a deepening of your
