    Dictionary Skill

    A dictionary is a very useful study tool. We use it to find the meaning, spelling and pronunciation of a new word. It also shows us how a word is used. In order to help us find a word easily, words in a dictionary are arranged in alphabetical order. Look at these pages from a dictionary. Which page comes first in the dictionary?     If two or more words in a list have the same first letter, we use the second letter to decide the order. If the second letters are the same, we use the third letter and so on.
