About the Course

Will review the state of art knowledge on mitochondrial physiology under 2 modalities Symposium: Free attendance. It will be held in Santiago, Chile Hands on Training in Live Cell Imaging and Respirometry. It will be developed at The Marine Research Center of Univ. Andres Bello, CIMARQ (www.unab.cl/cimarq/), located in Valparaiso, Chile.

CIMARQ-UNAB

Hands on Training
Addressed to PhD Students, Post-Docs and Young Investigators. Only 12 outstanding students will be selected. Students will stay at the center 24/7 in a great working environment that will promote strong interactions between them and with ours keynote speakers. There is no registration fee

Why a Mitochondrial Course?

Mitochondrial function and dysfunction have been shown to be related to the onset on many diseases including Alzheimer, diabetes and cancer among others. Mitochondria are true integrators of cell signaling metabolism and aging Mitochondria control life, lifespan and death.

THERE IS A SCIENTIFIC NEED TO TRAIN NEW PEOPLE IN MITOCHONDRIAL SCIENCE TO AFFORD THE UPCOMING CHALLENGES IN BIOMEDICINE
