Kito Excel Series
ER2 type electric chain block (250kg to 5t)
Safety precaution
This Disassembly and Assembly Manual describes important information to prevent danger to persons
performing disassembly and assembly, users, and other persons as well as property damage for safe and
proper disassembly and assembly.
The information contained in ER2 Type Electric Chain Block Owner's Manual (separate document) also
applies. Use it along with this manual.
Disassembly and assembly of the electric chain block are required operations for regular inspection and
repair. Refer to the Owner's Manual (separate document) for proper operations.
• Disassembly and assembly of the electric chain block must be performed by maintenance personnel.
If they are performed by anyone other than maintenance personnel with specified skills, a major accident such as death
Prohibited or serious injury may occur.
• Do not use any part other than the genuine parts for the ER2 type electric chain block.
Some Kito genuine parts may not be used if the product code is different.
Use parts correctly according to this manual.
Prohibited
If it is not observed, a major accident such as death or serious injury may occur.
• Do not perform disassembly and assembly while the electric chain block is being suspended.
When performing disas sembly and assembly of the electric chain block, lower it and perform them on the workbench.
Disassembly and assembly (general)
If disassembly and assembly are performed while it is being suspended, a major accident such as death or serious
Prohibited
injury may occur.
• Do not perform adjustment or disassembly of the friction clutch and friction clutch with mechanical brake.
If you do, a major accident such as death or serious injury may occur.
Prohibited If adjustment and disassembly are required, consult with Kito.
• When using oils such as gear oil and grease, avoid places with fire or sparks.
If it is not observed, a major accident such as fire may occur due to ignition.
Prohibited
• When installing or removing the electric chain block, secure a stable foothold.
If it is not observed, a major accident such as death or serious injury may occur due to falling or dropping.
Mandatory
• When installing or removing the electric chain block, shut down the distribution panel.
If it is not observed, a major accident such as death or serious injury may occur due to an electric shock.
Mandatory
• When assembly is complete, perform a function check (operation check) to make sure it operates normally.
If it is not observed, a major accident such as death or serious injury may occur.
Mandatory For details, refer to "Regular inspection" in Owner's Manual (separate document).
• Tighten the bolts and nuts with the specified tightening torques.
If it is not observed, a major accident such as death or serious injury may occur.
Mandatory
2
Caution
• For assembly, observe the following.
Safety precaution
• After disassembly, wipe off stain or oil on the parts that will be used again.
• Insert snap rings completely into the slots.
Mandatory
• Install the load chain without twist.
• When closing the panel plate, be careful so that your finger won't get caught.
If it is not observed, physical damage may occur due to a damaged product or dropped parts.
Information
The disassembly and assembly procedures are described based on the representative model. Note that omponents may be slightly
different for diffe ent capacities.
The specifications may be changed without prior notice and may be different from the actual products.
