On Friday, December 7th, 31 scholars competed in the second round of Baychester's first annual spelling bee competition for the 6th grade. Congratulations to the three finalists who made it to the next round. On Friday, December 21st, Randy Polanco, Juliana Antigua and Lawrence McClymont will compete in the final round of the spelling bee. The winner will receive a certificate, an award and an iPod touch which has been donated by Tekserve! Good luck Randy, Juliana and Lawrence!

6th Grade Units of Study


Math & Science Hey Parents! Our 6th graders rocked out their first algebra unit! Unit 3 ended on Friday, December 21st. 6th graders are taking home their Unit 3 Assessment over the holiday break. Make sure they've completed each question to the best of their ability. There will be a quiz waiting for them with questions DIRECTLY from their Unit 3 Assessment when they come back! Parents, please make sure to sign your 6th graders reading log every day during the break! Thanks! 7th Grade Units of Study


Math & Science Humanities & English No new updates at this time.

7th Grade ELA students are almost finished with Monster, by Walter Dean Myers! Students have begun writing their own personal narratives before leaving for holiday break. In addition, all ELA students have independent reading books and have been reading at the start of class. Students who finish their books are allowed to check out a new book at the start of every class period. If you have any questions about independent reading books, please contact Ms. Willie-Lawes or Ms. Accardi!
