PELAKSANAAN PENGAJARAN ISI KANDUNGAN Induction Set : 1. Teacher asks a student to draw their family tree and then bring students to think how it related to ICT. 2. Students generate more ideas and discussed with their friends to guess the relationship. 3. Teacher relates it to the topic to be taught. PENGETAHUAN/KEMAHIRAN YANG PERLU DIKUASAI a) Students should know how to relate the induction set .with the topic to be taught today.

3.1. Basic concepts of networks and communications. 3.1.1 Defition of network : A system of interconnected computers and peripheral devices. Examples: It may connect computers, printer and scanner. 3.1.2 Define communications : The transfer of information from a sender across the distance to a receiver. Examples of information transfered : Text, voice, graphics, video, sound, images or a combination of all.

Students should be able to : 1. Remember the key words for the definition of both network and communication. 2. Know the example usage of network and communication. 3. Diffrentiate between the network and communication. 4. Relate the use of network and communication in the real life.

3.1.3 Importance of network and communications : a) Sharing data,information, files, hardware and software, etc. b) Long distance communications.

Students should be able to : 1. Relate the importance of network and communication usage in daily life. 2. Give at least three out of five importance of network and communication usage in their daily life.

AKTIVITI PENGJARAN DAN PEMBELAJARAN PENGENALAN: Induction Set: a) Teacher asks a student in front of the class. b) The student have to draw his family tree from the grandparents level for both his parent side. c) Teacher brings the students to think wisely how they develop their new generation in order to avoid their generation extinct. d) Students will sharing their ideas. e) Teacher will relates it whenever possible to giva them clear view on the topic. PERKEMBANGAN PENGAJARAN Activity 1: 1. Teacher gives the definition of network and highlight the keywords that students have to remember. 2. Student required to remember and said the key words of the definitions. 3. Teacher gives the definition of communication and highlight the keywords that students have to remember. 4. Student required to remember and said the key words of the definitions. 5. Teacher gives some examples of network usage for each types of network. 6. Students are then sharing and relating their ideas on their types of network usage in daily life. 7. Teacher simplifies and highlight the network concepts and relate it in our daily life.

Activity 2: 1. Teacher asks students to be divided into 3 groups.. 2. Each groups will be given with a piece of paper consists of the key words for the definition of network and communication. 3. Students are given 5 minutes to rearrange the key words, paste it on the white board creatively and silently. 4. The first group with the best presentation of content will be the winner. 5. Teacher summarize and give some comments on the activities done.

AKTIVITI PENGJARAN DAN PEMBELAJARAN Activity 3: 1. Teacher asks students to sit in their groups. 2. Students are given about 5 minutes to complete the worksheet 1 in Learning Module. 3. Teacher give the correct answers. 4. The best two students will have to summarize it in front of the class. 5. Teacher conclude the main points in the topic.

PENUTUP a) Teacher randomly asks 3 students to state the definition of network, communication. b) Teacher asks 2 students to state at least three importance of network and communications in daily life. c) Teacher summarize all the topic that have been taught. TUGASAN Teacher asks students to find information on types computer network LAN, MAN and WAN definitions on the internet and bring it for the next class.
