Garioni Naval is an international industrial group which has successfully sold
and installed over 250 naval heating systems and 1.000 boilers during the past
year.
The groups turnover was Euro 80 million, achieved by 260 specialised emplo-
yees working at 5 production sites covering an area of 25.000 sqm and from 20
branch ofces throughout the world.
The Garioni Naval group controls and holds shares in seven companies, four
of these in Italy and three abroad, and is particularly active in the alternative
energy and energy

Electric and automatic steam generator, available in
ve versions, from 6,9 up to 120 kW. Feed water can
be connected directly to the main water or from a
condensate tank.
Steam generator MAXI produces a minimum of 9 Kg/h
to a maximum of 170 Kg/h at operating pressure up
to 8 bar.

speciale serbatoio in acciaio inox.

It is particulary suitable in garment and dry cleaning
factories for operating presses with poIished surface (re-
commended for ironing cotton articles) or supplied with a
special steam gun for ufng up and ironing furs.
It is realized with one or more resistences.

The heater is designed to heat the thermal oil under

- vapor pressure <= 0.5bar
The thermal oil heater is covered with thick rock
wool, contained inside a painted steel structure.
The pressure body is composed of carbon steel pi-
ping, with internal oil ow in contact with heating
elements of electrical resistances.
The anging of the boiler is PN 40 UNI 2284 and PN
16 UNI 2278. The following materials are used for the
main components:

Il riscaldatore progettato per scaldare il uido diatermico alle seguenti condizioni:
- temperatura di utilizzo <= 300C
- pressione di utilizzo <= 6bar
- tensione di vapore <= 0.5bar
Il riscaldatore di olio diatermico elettrico rivestito esternamente con materiale isolante (lana di
roccia) e lamierino in ferro verniciato.
Il corpo principale costituito da un circuito realizzato con tubi in acciaio al carbonio, allinterno del
quale circola lolio a contatto con gli elementi riscaldanti delle resistenze elettriche.
Su tutti i tronchetti dellapparecchio sono previste ange del tipo PN 40 UNI 2284 e PN 16 UNI
2278. I materiali da costruzione utilizzati per i principali componenti dellapparecchio sono i se-
guenti:
ange e manicotti acciaio ASTM A 105;
tubi acciaio ASTM A 106 Gr. B (oppure ASTM A 333 Gr. 6).

The steam boiler is covered with thick rock wool, contained inside a painted
steel structure.
The pressure body is composed of a main shell with dished heads at the top.
Inside the shell there is the place where the heating elements heat the water
and produce the steam (lower part for the water basin, upper part for the steam
chamber).
The boiler is xed on a rectangular base by means of hardy legs made by carbon
steel.
The anging of the boiler is PN 40 UNI 2284 (pressure retaining parts), PN40 UNI
6084 (electrical resistances) and PN 16 UNI 2278 (plant).
The following materials are used for the main components:

anges and couplings by steel ASTM A 105;
pipesbysteelASTMA106Gr.B(orASTMA333Gr.6).
Il generatore di vapore elettrico rivestito esternamente con materiale isolante
(lana di roccia) e lamierino in ferro verniciato.
Il corpo principale costituito da due fondi bombati saldati alle estremit di una
virola calandrata, allinterno della quale contenuta lacqua che, scaldata da
delle resistenze elettriche, genera il vapore.
Lapparecchio assemblato e contenuto su un robusto basamento rettangolare
in acciaio al carbonio, e sostenuto da gambe saldate direttamente sul corpo
caldaia.
Su tutti i tronchetti dellapparecchio sono previste ange del tipo PN 40 UNI
2284 (per la parte in pressione), PN 40 UNI 6084 (per le resistenze elettriche) e
PN 16 UNI 2278 (per la parte impiantistica).
I materiali da costruzione utilizzati per i principali componenti dellapparecchio
sono i seguenti:
- membrature acciaio ASTM A 516 GR.60
(oppure P 265 GH P 275 NH);
- ange e manicotti acciaio ASTM A 105;
- tubi acciaio ASTM A 106 Gr. B (oppure ASTM A 333 Gr. 6).

The boilers, for production of steam or hot water, are either made for low voltage
or high voltage. High voltage boilers are always electrode boilers. Low voltage boi-
lers are mainly element boilers, although an electrode boiler is sometimes prefer-
red. Element boilers range from 18 to 6000kW with supply voltages between 400
and 690V. Electrode boilers range from 1 to 70MW with supply voltages between 6
and 14kV. Electrode boilers are made for supply voltages 6 to 14kV, with outputs
up to 70MW.
Electrode boilers are boilers with electrodes instead of heating elements. The
electric current is lead through the water, between electrodes, thus heating the
water. Electrode boilers are made for both steam and hot water production.
Electrode boilers can be modied according to the customers demands.
Electric steam boilers (2x2500kW, 690V) have been delivered to Alstom Mari-
ne (now STX Europe) and installed in two of the largest LNG-carriers in the world
(155.000 m3) - Provalys and Gaselys, which are operated by Gazocean in France.
