ABSTRACT
The socio-economic conditions of peoples living in the villages of developing countries including India, human muscle power can be good alternative to fulfill the energy requirements for performing many activities like flour milling. Pedaling is the most efficient way of utilize the power from human muscles. Keeping this thing in mind a pedal operated flour mill is developed. The machine consist of a chain drive and belt drive that terms rotate flour mills where the power which gets thrust to produce flour. The machine is economically viable can be used by common people save time otherwise spent in traditional hand cranking of stone wheel and can be adopted for human power process units which could have intermittent operations without affecting the end product. In the recent past the powered machine has been developed for working of cloths washing, wood Turing, flour mill to the wheat making and drying. the machine consist of human power flywheel using a bicycle drive mechanism with speed increasing the drive and process unit and torque increasing the operator puts energy in to the flywheel in a required power level. The flywheel is made available to process unit paper discuss about the application for pedal power technology the machine is economically used by unskilled worker.
