Dear Friends, Each one of you is here because youre ready to lift and be uplifted.

Today you'll have the opportunity to do both. Together, well lift praises to God and youll be lifted up by the teaching of Tristan Wheeler (9am), Philip Jenkins (10am), Jeremy Hall (4pm), and Blake McCaskill (5pm). The theme of their messages is Fourfold - Magnifying Jesus in the Gospels. My hope in planning this day was to: Preach Jesus.We featuring Christ-centered messages to praise His person, work, name, and power. This day will be a fresh reminder of the gospel we preach, we receive, we stand in, and by which we are saved. (1 Corinthians 15:1-3) Present creatively. Each speaker has been challenged to meet youth where culture collides with the message about Jesus Christ. They plan to creatively demonstrate, illustrate, and apply what Christs work means for our future. Produce more youth resources. The entire day will be HD-video recorded, edited and uploaded for further sharing of the gospel for youth. All the content transcribed into book form for digital download. All for furthering the mission of producing more church resources for teenagers. Prompt youth to articulate their faith. The logic behind #Hashtag is getting young people to express in words (tweets, status updates, etc) what they believe. A live feed will stream through the conference with the #hashtag1day tag. We hope to deepen faith, strengthen understanding, and fortify Christian doctrine in the hearts of young people. We've coordinated today's event with the monthly area-wide devotional, so groups will be joining us all throughout the afternoon/evening. In addition, we're hosting a dodgeball tournament (1-3pm) at the Children's Home gym, and serving pizza supper here at 6pm. Were glad youre here to be part of the rst ever #Hashtag1Day Conference.
