COMPLAINT
The Complainant, being duly sworn, makes complaint to the above-named Court and states that there is probable cause to believe that the Defendant committed the following offense(s). The complainant states that the following facts establish PROBABLE CAUSE:
___________________________________________________________________________________________ Complainant, Michael Fossum, of the Minneapolis Police Department, has investigated the facts and circumstances of this offense and believes the following establishes probable cause: This investigation has revealed that on or about December 14, 2012, Minneapolis Police Officers were dispatched to 26th Street East in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota, on a report of a robbery. According to Known Adult Male 1 and Known Adult Male 2, personally identified in the police reports, they were approached by a black male in his early thirties. This unknown male pulled out a black revolver and announced a robbery and told everybody to empty their pockets. In response, Known Adult Male 2 stated that he gave the suspect a total of $63 in cash (three twenty dollar bills and three one dollar bills). Responding Officers observed a suspect that matched the description in close proximity to the area where the robbery was reported to have taken place. They observed the suspect reached into his right front jacket pocket, retrieved an object and dropped it. Sgt. Olson observed that item to be a handgun. After approaching the suspect, later determined to be TERRENCE CHARLES BROWN, DEFENDANT HEREIN, officers frisk him and located two prescription pill bottles in the defendants left front jacket pocket and cash consistent with the amount reported to have been taken during the robbery. Officers located a loaded .32 caliber revolver on the sidewalk where Sgt. Olson had observed the defendant drop the gun. The Known Adult Male 2 positively identified the defendant in a show up as the person who had robbed him.
