I can in new contexts apply my own strategies to solve problems eg what is the maximum number of months with 5 Sundays in a year? I can sometimes have more than one way of finding a solution. I recognise how a method can be applied to solve similar problems. I can simplify a problem by trying similar cases. When having difficulty with a problem I can stop, think about it and try a different approach. I can change one piece of information and notice the effect this has.
