Stephen Keblish elected Chairman Gerard Gershonowitz elected Vice-Chairman
ALBANY, NEW YORK Log Cabin Republicans of New York State today announced the election of Stephen Keblish as Chairman and Gerard Gershonowitz as ViceChairman by unanimous vote of the Board of Directors. Keblish follows outgoing Chairman Gregory T. Angelo, who was recently appointed Interim Executive Director of the Log Cabin Republicans National Office. It has been an absolute thrill to have led Log Cabin Republicans of New York State for the past four years, Angelo said. From our work at the start of my tenure with the New York State Senate on the Safe Schools Act to the historic moment in 2011 when years of Log Cabin Republicans lobbying culminated in the passage of civil marriage recognition for gay couples for the first time in a Republican-controlled legislature, every moment has been an adventure. Im excited to pass the torch to Chairman Keblish and Vice-Chairman Gershonowitz as they usher in a new and exciting era of Log Cabin Republicans in the Empire State. I am honored and humbled to have this opportunity, Keblish stated. From the days of Lincoln and Seward, the GOP has led the fight for civil rights and liberties and championed equality under the law. Log Cabin Republicans has a mission to keep the Republican Party true to its history and principles, and I am dedicated to continuing that cause for New York as the new State Chairman. Keblish is a 2004 graduate of SUNY Brockport and former Herkimer County Legislator. He is a captain in the New York Army National Guard where he has served on various overseas and domestic operations. Keblish has served on the Herkimer County Republican Committee since 2000 and has been a Board member of the Log Cabin Republicans of New York State since 2010.

Gershonowitz is the longtime President of Log Cabin Republicans of Hudson Valley, has grown the Log Cabin Republicans presence in the region with candidate outreach that led to a record number of candidates seeking the groups endorsement and fostered relationships with the Young Republicans of Westchester, Rockland and Putnam counties, the Westchester Womens Republican Club, the Westchester Republican Asian Club as well as a personal and working relationship with the County Executives of Westchester and Putnam Counties as well as the Westchester County Republican Committee. Together with his husband for over 30 years, the two have been legally married for eight.
