Business Scorecard Manager Balanced Scorecard Sample Overview

These samples will get you up and running with Office Business Scorecard Manager 2005 using a sample Balanced Scorecard template. These samples do not connect directly to the database as they use fixed values.

Prerequisites
Please visit the Business Scorecard Manager (http://microsoft.com/office/bsm) for installation prerequisites and installation instructions.

Setup
Unzip Samples: 1. Unzip the samples to your computer. A good place to install them is with the other samples provided with Business Scorecard Manager. You can extract the files to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office Business Scorecard Manager 2005\Builder\Samples\Balanced Scorecard. Loading Samples Files: 1. Start Business Scorecard Manager 2. Click the FOLDER icon More to open a sample project file. 3. Browse to the location where you stored the sample scorecard workspaces and doubleclick a sample file. Publishing Scorecards: Load the scorecards into Business Scorecard Manager and use the following steps to quickly publish the sample scorecards. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. Load a sample Balanced Scorecard sample workspace. Click the PUBLISH ALL button located on the Business Scorecard Manager toolbar. Click on the menu item Tools/Deploy Scorecard/To SharePoint. Click the Specify Scorecard on Server Button. Browse to Samples/Balanced Scorecard/[scorecard name] and click OK and then click Next button. Select the Default View and click Next button. Enter a page name for the SharePoint page that will be published and click the Next button. Enter the SharePoint URL. (i.e. http://[servername]) Use the default Document Library and click the Finish button.
