Unit Overview
Unit Title Corruption A Demon Unit Summary Students come across many dishonest acts in society. Students are in the role of members to increase social awareness against corruption. They get experiences about bad things which is harmful for the progress of society. Students come to understand how society is affected because of corruption. They study impact of corruption as well as need to stop corruption. Students give ideas for putting right things against unpleasant act (corruption) like, if there is any corruption in society contact to ANTI CORRUPTION BEURAO. Social awareness about RIGHT OF INFORMATION.Dont give extra money for completion of our objective work and for getting work done earlier. Students will get information by interviews of affected people, police station in charge, political leaders, as well as the resource persons of the system who works in service of ANTI CORRUPTION BEORAO. Students develops presentations, arranges rally, creates blogs for taking response from community. In that way students give answers to CFQs. Student arrange the guest lecture in school about AWARENESS ABOUT CORRUPTION. Student take the competition of slogans on corruption. Student will collect information from internet, newspaper, magazines. Subject Area Social studies, mathematics, statistics, accounts etc. Grade Level 9-12

Approximate Time Needed 4 weeks -4periods of 45 minutes each a week. Unit Foundation Targeted Content Standards and Benchmarks To develop social awareness among students on corruption and issues related to corruption. How country is affected by the corruption. Awareness about the importance of right of election for electing trustful and true leader. To develop strategies for communicating with the community drama. To develop the behaviour strategies in students in day to day life. To help students to become responsible citizens of country.

Assessment Summary Assessment is an ongoing process throughout this project. Students collect data from newspaper, magazines, TV, news & study on it. Anecdotal notes & discussion rubric is used throughout the unit to gauge students needs &help students explore important questions & stimulate thinking. Multimedia rubric & presentation rubric along with discussion guide students in their learning help them stay on track, self-assess their progress, Student learning is assessed by organizing an awareness drive, role play, posters & multimedia presentation created. Opinion posted on blog shares students learning on the field. Also, students reflect on their learning in a reflective essay on contributing to making a better tomorrow having non corrupted country. The purpose of brain storming is to discuss specific task to accomplished, to bring necessary materials & get expected output. By peer assessment, students will give critical feedback on the topic of impact of corruption & presentation of the output. Students will plan the really, stage show, street drama, guest lecture & debate.

UNIT DETAILS Prerequisite Skills Knowledge to operate computer. MS-Word, Power Point, spread sheet. Knowledge on internet research, collect material & consolidate. Fundamental knowledge of using digital camera & video camera. Basic knowledge about the storing data in pen drive or any other secondary devices. Skills in taking interview, questioning, writing, reading, interacting etc. Instructional Procedures Explain the project outline to the school head-goals & objectives of the project & support required to complete the project. Submit the project concept paper to the school head & computer HOD with time lines. Take a guidance of school head for presentation of street drama & stage show. Collect the pictures of impact of corruption & list them. Prepare K-E-L chart, interview schedule, questinaraie, list of websites, organizer chart. Collect the data of opinion of people about the corruption in India. Maintain the record of interview of police in charge, political leaders. Maintain the record of collected the data from newspaper, magazines, TV news. Ask police permission for conducting the awareness rally on corruption. Ask local authority permission for street show & staging a drama in community.

Week -1 STEP 1 Teacher discusses problems on corruption. Students tell the impact of corruption. STEP 2 Students explain the project outline to the school head master goals & objectives of the project & permission for present stage show. Students arrange group discussion in classroom on impact of corruption. Week -2-3 STEP 3 Students collect pictures of impact of corruption. Students collect the data of opinion about the corruption of India. Students collect information from interview of police in charge political leaders. Week -4 STEP 4 Students submit a project concept paper to the school head master & requesting their guidance & support. Teacher will guide how to implement the project. STEP 5

On the basis of project & collected or gathered information students will organize street drama, skit, roleplay & make people aware. Students organize debate on impact of corruption. In this way, students try to answer the necessary questions related to corruption.
