Mapping Our Week & Beyond

Writing:New Years Resolutions and Persuasive Writing

We will complete the New Years Resolutions that we began last week and share those. Next, we will begin our Persuasive Writing Unit. Hopefully, your child will learn how to make a compelling argument in writing for something he believes in.

HAVE AN AWESOME WEEK! Teacher Websites

http://teachers.greenville.k12.sc.us /lwindham www.multiplication.com- great practice for multiplication!

Math: Multiplication
This week we will learn the 9s and 11s facts. We will also solve multiplication word problems. There will be a quiz on the 9s facts on Wednesday. Please review and practice as much as possible! Some children grasp this quickly, others really need as much practice as possible.

Science: Animal Adaptations

Physical or Behavioral? That is the question. We will continue to look at differentiating between these two adaptations on Monday & Tuesday. There will be a quiz on Tuesday. The lessons for the rest of the week will be on the characteristics of habitats that allow the organisms to survive there.

Notes from the Teacher * Canister for Copies begins this week. Please fill your canister with loose change and return to school. You may fill your film canister as many times as you would like. What an easy fund-raiser for our school! Please remember to have your lovely third grader at school before 8 am! It helps so much if they are prepared and not rushed in the mornings. Check our Class Blog: Windhams Wild Things http://lwindham.blog.greenville.k12.sc.us/ I add enrichment materials every few days!
