ISRAEL INVASION TO GAZA, SHOULD WE DO SOMETHING?

Nowadays, with the rise of Israels invasion to Gaza issue, of course we can not just stay quiet and do nothing. Our innocent brothers and sisters there are being attacked, without any definite justice. No matter whether it was men or women, or even children are killed. So many pictures spreaded and showed how horrific their condition. Desperation and sadness obviously can be found on their face. Scared, crying, shivering, even bleeding. Ironic, right? We definitely have to do something!

There are some reasons why we should put our efforts regarding this issue. First, there is a mosque in Palestine that became one of the three mosques in the blessed which is also the first Qibla of Muslims, Al-Aqsa. Moreover, viewed in terms of history, Palestine has a big role for our lovely country, Indonesia. When the other countries did not recognized yet about the independence of Indonesia, Palestine made a lead to support it. Shaykh Amin al-Husaini, a grand mufti of Palestine, called on all Arab leaders to give recognition to Indonesia.

The more ironic point is the Palestinian efforts was not fully supported by all countries. The United States is one of them. Even U.S. President, Barack Obama firmly supports the actions carried out by Israel since the Israeli attacks on Palestine considers a counterattack for the actions of Hamas to launch rockets into Israel. What a one-sided support. Please, cant he see that the Palestinian has suffered a lot because of the blockade by Israel. This blocking reason alone is actually enough for the Palestinians to go against Israel because the blockade was dissuaded and they are slowly cut off access to trade, aid and other. Not just the United States who was not budge on Israel's brutal actions, but the UN that uphold human rights did not make any move concerning this issue yet, as well. Technically t means that Israeli forces were supported by the U.S. and made them into a 'big head', because it was backed by superpowers country. For this reason, we have to come together to fight and support the Palestinian struggle.

Straight away, what can we do? A lot! There are lot of things we can do. Of course we can start from the little thing like pray for them. Just give a trust, that our

prayers will flow over to their souls that could adds its own power to them to be more big-hearted. Besides, we can also give assistance in the form of donations. Donate some wealth we have such as money, clothes, foods, and medicines. We can also join some solidarity actions. Not long ago, about 1000 people from society and some members of Kesatuan Aksi Mahasiswa Muslim Indonesia (KAMMI) unite and held a rally action in Bundaran HI, Jakarta, in case to criticize Israel brutality for attacking the Palestinian.

Famous footballers like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi also showed their support towards Palestine. Ronaldo auctioned his shoes which was cost 2.400 euro for education of children in Gaza. So did Lionel Messi, showing t-shirt that read Free Palestine . See, even a famous and busy figure like Ronaldo or Messi could show their support,why cant we? They who were being attacked are our brothers. They need justice, they need our support. Save the souls, save Gaza, save Palestine!
