Prerequisite
l
As shown in Power Supply Requirements of the BTS3812E, the power supply requirements of the BTS3812E are met. Hardware of the BTS3812E is installed. All the power switches on the BTS3812E busbar are set to OFF. The power supply of the BTS3812E is cut off.
l l l
Procedure
Step 1 Turn on the power switch of the BTS3812E cabinet. Step 2 Check whether the output voltage of the BTS3812E cabinet is proper. If... The output voltage of the BTS3812E is out of the range from -40 V DC to -60 V DC. The output voltage of the BTS3812E is within the range from -40 V DC to -60 V DC. Then... A power failure occurs to the cabinet. Go to Step 3.
Step 3 Turn off the power switch of the BTS3812E cabinet to cut off the power supply. Step 4 Check the output voltage of the power distribution cabinet, the installation of the power cables, and the routing of the BTS3812E power cables. Step 5 Go to Step 2 to check the output voltage again till the output voltage of the BTS3812E becomes proper. ----End

Context
The power switches on the busbar are shown in Table 10-1. Table 10-1 Power switches on the busbar Board MAFUs 0 through 5 MTRU0 MTRU1 MTRU2 MTRU3 MTRU4 MTRU5 FAN Boards in the baseband subrack Power Switches on the Busbar AFU TRU0 TRU1 TRU2 TRU3 TRU4 TRU5 FAN NBBU
Procedure
Step 1 Set the power switch of the fan subrack to ON. Step 2 Check whether fans work properly. If... Fans do not work properly, Fans work properly, Then... Power failure occurs to the cabinet. Go to Step 3. Power supplied to the cabinet is operational. Go to Step 4.
Step 3 Set the power switch of the fan subrack to OFF. Ensure that connections of power cables to the boards and the subracks are correct, and then go to Step 1. Step 4 Set the power switch of the baseband subrack to ON. Step 5 Check whether all the LEDs on a baseband board are ON and then OFF. If... All the LEDs on a baseband board are ON and then OFF, All the LEDs on a baseband board are ON,

Then... The board is not securely inserted. Go to Step 6. The board is securely inserted. Go to Step 7.
10-3
Step 6 Fasten the captive screws on the filler panel or reinstall the board. After you install the board tightly, all the LEDs will be ON within three seconds and will not be OFF. Step 7 Set power switches for the MTRUs to ON, and check whether the three LEDs on each MTRU are all ON. If... The three LEDs on each MTRU are all ON, The three LEDs on each MTRU are in other states, Then... The MTRU is properly powered on. Go to Step 8. The power cable is not properly connected or other faults occur. Clear the faults and repeat Step 7.
Step 8 Set the power switch for the MAFU subrack to ON. Check whether the three LEDs on each MAFU are all ON at the beginning and then the PWR LEDs are ON while the ALM LED and the VSWR LED are OFF. If... The three LEDs on each MAFU are ON at the beginning and then the PWR LED is ON while the ALM LED and the VSWR LED are OFF, The three LEDs are all ON steady, The three LEDs are all OFF steady, The three LEDs on the MAFU are in other states, Then... Power and communication cables are operational. The power-on check ends.
The communication between the MTRU and the MAFU is faulty. Go to Step 9. Power failure occurs to the MAFU. Go to Step 10. Go to Step 11.
Step 9 Reinstall the cable between the MAFU and the serial port on the MTRU. Check whether the ALM LED and the VSWR LED are OFF. If... The ALM LED and the VSWR LED are OFF, The ALM LED and the VSWR LED are ON steady, Then... The MAFU is properly powered on. The poweron check ends. Go to Step 11.
Step 10 Reinstall the power cable from busbar to MAFU. Check whether the LEDs on the MAFU are ON at the beginning and then the PWR LED is ON steady while the ALM LED and the VSWR LED are OFF.

Item The cabinet should be in clean and neat appearance. External paint should be intact and satisfactory. All labels, tags, and nameplates are correct, legible, and complete. The front door of the cabinet can be easily opened or closed. The DC surge protector for each cabinet should be correctly installed. When you adjust bolts to level the base, add spacers to the base to avoid deformation. The cover plate should be installed on the holes in the cabinet.

Item Connectors on the trunk cables are securely fixed. Connectors on the trunk cables are intact. No trunk cables or RF cables are scratched or broken. Connectors on RF cables are fixed in position lest that possible false connection should cause abnormal voltage standing wave ratio. RF cables routed in the horizontal plane are clamped into cable troughs. Cables of extra length are reserved at the connectors. The cables are neatly bound. The cable ties are installed at even intervals, to a proper tightness, and in one direction. Extra cable ties are truncated. All cuts are smooth without sharp thrum. The cable layout allows easy maintenance and future expansion. All labels and tags at both ends of the cables are legible. The ports not in use on the top of the cabinet are installed with dust-proof covers. RF jumpers are distributed by layer and by sector.
