Project Description:
State HealthCare Services (North Dakota, New Hampshire and Idaho) provides Insurance facility to the North Dakota and New Hampshire citizens etc. Medicare Medicaid Information System MMIS The Integration Architecture ensures a seamless integration between the modules PROVIDERS, CLAIMS, PRIOR AUTH, FLTPL, PBM, GHS application systems and the Legacy and Contemporary application systems for respected states (North Dakota and New Hampshire citizens etc). Data is extracted from Legacy systems (DB2 and Main Frames) and moved to Interface Tool (Informatica Power Exchange) as COBOL files and then finally moved to Oracle tables by ETL Process. Matt Tool has been used to prepare mapping reports. There are two types of ETL Process 1) conversion. 2) Interfaces. Conversions are initial load or one time load process where workflow is made to run manually and Interfaces will run on daily, weekly or on monthly basis, where workflow will be made to run by using a scheduling tool (Control-M).

Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) of data by using Informatica Power Center. Extracted source data from flat files, Oracle and loaded to a Oracle. Developed Mappings and mapplets in Informatica Power Center Designer to load data from staging environment to warehouse. Created mapping using the transformation such as the Source qulifier,Aggregator, Expresion, Router, Filter, Sequence Generator, and Update Strategy. Extensively worked with the parameter files to specify the source and target connections and made the mappings more manageable by using Mappings parameters wherever hard coding was needed. Checked and tuned the performance of Informatica Mappings. Involved in Creating Sessions,Workflow using Workflow Manager. Involved in performance tuning of mappings, identifying source and target bottlenecks and worked with the sessions and workflow properties to improve performance. Highmark is one of the nations largest insurance companies; it provides health care coverage throughout Pennsylvania and offers variety of insurance and insurance related products. Highmark conducts business under the trade name Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield. The Objective is to build an Enterprise Data warehouse for various Groups which are part of Highmark. Responsibilities:

Monitoring Informatica Production jobs and fixing workflow failures. Changes to existing mappings and reports. Responsible for developing a data-mart for the early collection system of the bank. Developing various excel reports and maintaining the web based reports. Development of new mappings and reports. Implementing Change Requests as requested by the customer. Resolving the Service Requests and Priority Requests as raised by the business. Mentoring new team members Performance tuning of Informatica jobs, stored procedures already in production. Discussion with the business on the metric definition/computations.

Project Description:
This project provides a comprehensive range of financial services; personal financial services; commercial banking; corporate, investment banking and markets, private banking and other activities. The company requires different level of analysis regarding loan amount, type of customers type of payment schedules, interest rates, defaulters list and the penal interest calculations, etc. The data warehouse, basically it is a Data Mart as converse only one domain of the business and captures data from their Historical Database. This system is required to extract, transform, and load data from the different client system into a relational table environment that can be accessible for reporting purposes. A set of reports will be developed against the relational tables to deliver the information to its customers in the form of PDF files. The data from the different systems will be extracted into a set of text-based and Graphical reports.

Responsibilities:

Created Informatica mappings to build business rules to load data. Most of the transformations were used like the Source qualifier, Aggregators, lookups, Filters & Sequence. Failure analysis for Informatica loads using Error logs. Involved in testing the mappings (UNIT testing).
