Statement of purpose

I am a person who looks to learn something new from each happening that takes place in this world, from both the natural phenomena as well as the more innovative man made ones. I believe that this thirst for knowledge is the ultimate aim of life. It is this desire for focused learning that has been the cause for what I am today and is the major reason for me to pursue my graduate studies. My school played a crucial role in bringing out the potential in me. At school, I constantly tried to improve myself academically and my efforts paid off when I got 81% in my twelfth board examinations. Soon after, I made one of the most important decisions in my life; one that I knew would give me what I want in terms of knowledge as well as pave the path for my future dreams. I chose to take up my under graduation in Electronics and Communication. My interests in Electronic Circuits were kindled long before I completed high school. I came to know about Electronic products and their Circuit designs through internet and magazines, which inspired me to pursue a career in Electronics. I realized that this is just a beginning and there are more to learn in this frontier than what I knew. So I decided to pursue Electronics and Communication as my undergraduate course. I got admitted to SRM University, Chennai which is one of the reputed private Universities in India. My undergraduate course transformed me into a better person, where I created a strong platform in Electronics and a better knowledge of Electricals too, by learning the basic concepts of Circuits in lectures, laboratory hours, seminars etc. I learnt different Electronic subjects like Digital Systems, Microprocessors, Microcontrollers, Digital Signal Processing, Control Systems, Wireless Communication & Devices, etc. During my undergraduate course, I attended a national level Workshop and Seminar in Embedded systems and VLSI design conducted by Anna University, Chennai. My final year project was a Robot based in the field of Electronics. A Mobile Surveillance Robot, used to make surveillance operations possible in regions where a human being cannot enter or is unsafe to approach like volcanic erupted regions, flooded regions and to explore the mystic places like pyramids. The project was inspected by the examiner panel and was awarded top grades for the work done. Generally both Electronics and Communication is a dual industry that has changed our lives. In a very short period it has altered the way we have looked at things since centuries. That is the main reason

am applying for the Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and also because I want a career in this field. In particular, I am interested in factors that affect the competitive performance of the both Electrical and Electronic Components towards the Technology of Development, Manufacturing, Designing of Micro Devices, Wireless Components, Robotic Devices, Distribution Network and Standard Systems. In order to gain an appreciation of the Electronic needs, it is essential for me to have a strong deepening in Electronic devices and its operations. I believe that the MSc program in Electrical and Electronic Engineering would enable me to channel my quantitative and conceptual skills in analyzing design structures and would open up new avenues in this field to achieve my future goal of research in Electronics. I feel that it is very important for extra-curricular activities to go hand in hand with my curriculum as it plays a very important role in my personal development. I have played Cricket and won second prize in the inter school tournament. I love traveling to new places and experiencing new cultures. I also have a passion for driving. All these elements have given me a very broad outlook. I strongly believe that although some are not related directly, all these qualities will influence my graduate work. When I decided to do my Master degree in Electrical and Electronic, my ambition was to do it in a better Institute in Global environment. So I have decided to do my Master studies in SWEDEN since Sweden has a long and proud history of academic excellence and also has a distinctive and excellent culture of social life. I found that the course curriculum of your University highly attractive. With the help of your quality education and guidance, Im self-assured to land in a rewarding occupation and will achieve my goal. With my electronic oriented interests and desire for leadership, I am confident that I will succeed and grow in your program and reach for academic excellence. It would be an honor for me to be accepted into your University for my graduate studies.
