Cubism Impressionism Surrealism This style of painting is characterised by small, thin, brush strokes producing a general impression of a scene or object. The use of primary colours helps emphasise the changing light. A modern art movement in which objects are broken up and re-assembled in an abstract form. Rather than viewing a scene or object from one viewpoint, the subject is seen from many different viewpoints. This movement attempts to express the subconscious through the use of fantastic imagery and the element of surprise, juxtaposing an array of imagery.
