DOW FARM sells shares to customers who provide us seed money to grow vegetables for them during the season. You pre-pay for either a double size or a single share and pick up your produce at the farm (or Greater Gorham Farmers Market) every Thursday or Saturday. The cost is then deducted from your account. You can extend your share if it runs out. Shares start at $330. How far this goes depends on the season: 2012 shares lasted through October. Large families may buy $550 shares. Our limit this year is 20 shares. Buy a share and receive 10% more for the price. ($330=$365; $550 =$605). Seed money shareholders: Fill out the form on the back and mail it with a check for 50% down by May 1st. We will take care of the bookwork for you! For non-shareholders: You may drop by the farm or come see us at the Greater Gorham Farmers Market on Saturdays next to the library, 8:30-12:30. We also take special orders. Call ahead at 642-2908/642-1293.
Weekly boxes filled with just-picked vegetables; all kinds of delicious & beautiful treats like red strawberries, dark green spinach, salad greens, amazing & cute little pink and purple eggplants and squash; and best of all KALE which 6-year old Karlie loves, when baked and sprinkled with cheese! Linda V., Standish

We have a small orchard of heritage apples, including summer apples Chenango Strawberry, Red Astrachan, and Yellow Transparent, and twelve other varieties. We use Integrated Pest Management on the orchard, which includes preventative measures, scouting, and over-the-counter pesticides. Most of the vegetable crops in the list do not require pesticides to grow. Per new state law, Mike is a licensed pesticide applicator.
