Visiting Student for 2010-2011 CGPA: 4.3/5 November 2012 Design and layout of an 8-bit Microprocessor Core operating at 200Mhz. Designed the microprocessor to perform operations such as addition, subtraction and shifting. Used the Cadence Virtuoso Environrment for schematic entry, functionality verification and layout. Designed the circuit to implement speech recognition in hardware which was controlled by the 8051. Performed colour recognition using phototransistors. Updated the Printed Circuit Boards used in testing MEMS chips Performed module synthesis and place and route using cadence tools such as RTL Compiler and Encounter. Autonomous Robot Design Competition, MIT. January 2011 Autonomous Robot used in performing assigned tasks. Designed and constructed a robot using LEGO parts. Programmed the robot in C language to operate autonomously and perfom tasks such as identifying and avoiding obstacles and gathering obejcts from a given area. Final Project for Digital Systems Laboratory, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Dept, MIT. November 2010 Emulation of the Shazam Player on a Field Programmable Gate Array. Designed an algorithm to save, read and match audio files on an FPGA. Analyzed the various audio processing algorithms used in audio and speech recognition and implemented them using Verilog HDL.
