The expressway will act as a Delhi bypass for traffic coming from north of Delhi on NH 1 and going to south of Delhi on NH 2 or west of Delhi on NH 8. Sixteen overpasses and underpasses at crossings on state highways and major district roads; seven overpasses, nine underpasses and 27 underpasses at crossings on village roads; and 33 agricultural vehicular underpasses, 31 cattle crossing passages, 61 pedestrian crossing passages, four railway over bridges, 18 major and minor bridges, cross drainage works (culverts) at 292 locations, and two truck parking and four bus bays will also be constructed. KMP Expressway's construction started in 2007 and it was planned to become operational by June 2009 at the cost of INR Rs.17.6 billion but the construction by the contractor, Darshan Singh Construction Company (DSC), has been so tardy that the expressway will not be ready even partially before second half of 2013 and the cost may escalate to Rs.25 billion.
Chapter 1
Project Scope
The Expressway will throw open unprecedented opportunities to develop economic hubs at strategic locations all along the expressway and is crucial to the socio economic development of this region. This 135.6 km expressway is a prestigious Greenfield BOT project for the development of an access controlled 4/6-lane connectivity from Kundli to Palwal via Manesar in Haryana. Also known as the Western Peripheral Expressway, it is one of the largest expressway projects in the country. It connects important industrial centers in Haryana, and intersects four of Indias busiest National Highways: NH-1 near Kundli (Sonipat), NH-10 near Bahadurgarh, NH-8 at Manesar (Gurgaon) and NH-2 near Palwal (Faridabad). The project involves construction of 47 underpasses, 31 cattle crossings, 61 pedestrian crossings, 33 agriculture vehicles over passes, 26 bridges, 4 railway over bridges and 3 grade separators at NH-1, NH-10 and NH-8. The project would allow heavy and commercial vehicles to completely bypass the Delhi NCR region thereby decongesting traffic within the capital.
Need Analysis
Need of the project as the follows To ensure development of adjoining area. Reduce pollution and carbon footprint of vehicles travelling between Sonipat and Palwal. Improve vehicle fuel mileage efficiency, reduce wear and tear on vehicles, and reduce logistical costs. Enable farmers in western Haryana to move agricultural, horticultural and milk products rapidly to major cities. To connect the main townships. To provide a fast moving corridor to minimize the travel time.
Option Analysis
In my opinion, THIS project will be a appropriate option to make a connectivity between Kundali to Palwal. By this travelling become so easy between in these 2 main cities of Haryana. and This project will help to increase industrialization in untapped Area, By this development will take place in adjoining area. This project has a great Socio-economic feasibility.

project. Dispute between private developer and The government. The Haryana & Delhi Government failed to sort out the issue of sharing the land acquisition cost for the project. Due to the delays in the land acquisition, the liability on the Delhi government has increased to Rs 1,110 crore against the original estimate of Rs 167 crore. The government was not able to pay a appropriate price to the farmers for there lands to the farmer so there was a delay in land acquisition.
