Multiple Simultaneous Call Forwarding (MSCF)

1 Denition
The feature Multiple Simultaneous Call Forwarding (MSCF) makes it possible to forward a number of incoming call requests simultaneously to a defined destination (e.g. a voice mailbox). This feature supplements the call forwarding feature (CF). It is of relevance for the following types of call forwarding: Call Forwarding Unconditional (CFU) Call Forwarding on Busy (CFB) Call Forwarding on No Reply (CFNR)

Interactions For interaction with other features, see Feature Interactions.

2 Mode of operation
In the standard case, the number of calls that can be forwarded simultaneously is two for an ISDN basic access and just one for an analog individual line. Any additional call attempts to a call-forwarding subscriber are rejected. The feature Multiple Simultaneous Call Forwarding (MSCF) raises the number of calls that can be forwarded simultaneously to: 3 to 10 calls (maximum) in case of an ISDN basic access 2 to 10 calls (maximum) in case of an analog individual line The operator can specify the number of calls that can be forwarded simultaneously on a line-specific basis. The number of successful calls in case of multiple simultaneous call forwarding depends on the number of calls that can be made simultaneously to the call-forwarding destination. More than one successfully forwarded call is possible if the call-forwarding destination: is a mailbox has authorization for the call waiting feature is part of an ISDN basic access leads to a PBX hunting group line (MLHG) or PBX leads to a chargeable recorded announcement If a forwarding subscriber has a multiple subscriber number (MSN), the various directory numbers can be forwarded to different destinations. Capacity The percentages indicate the number of authorized subscribers for the feature within the network node and their simultaneous application. Analog Authorization Subscriber GeoCENTREX subscriber 100% 100% Use 20% 20% ISDN Authorization 100% 100% Use 20% 20%

3 Subscriber controlled input

Subscriber controlled input is not possible for this feature.

4 Call charge registration

Call charge registration is possible with: Automatic Message Accounting with Individual Call Charge Registration Pulse Metering Message Detail Recording (MDR) for GeoCENTREX Flat rate Automatic Message Accounting with Individual Call Charge Registration (AMA) and pulse metering can be combined. One or more call charge pulses can be generated for pulse metering. Charges for feature input and feature usage The charges for operator inputs, successful subscriber controlled input and feature usage are assigned to the subscriber. The following call charge registration is possible: Facility input by operator (FAIO) Facility input by subscriber (FAIS) Facility usage (FAU) Action Activate Deactivate Enter data Delete data Assign authorization Remove authorization Assign authorization to modify Remove authorization to modify Status request, data request Use FAIO --------X X --------FAIS --------------------FAU ------------------X

5 Administration
The operator can perform all administration functions on the NetManager by means of user-friendly applications or MML commands. Feature authorization The network operator assigns authorization for the feature when requested by the subscriber. Subscriber access types The feature can be used with the following types of subscriber access: Type Subscriber Analog Main station Basic access PBX PBX with BA and/or PA PBX line PBX line with Direct Dialing In (DDI) PBX line, connected like a subscriber Coinbox Emergency call station MLHG line Basic attendant console MAC attendant console Call charge registration For more information, please refer to OMN:EXCH-TA. System administration The following feature data can be administrated in the network node: recording by means of trafc measurement For more information, please refer to OMN:EXCH-SY. Routing administration For more information, please refer to OMN:EXCH-RO. Subscriber administration For more information, please refer to OMN:EXCH-SU.
