2 Mode of operation
The feature Night Service Call Pick Up (NSCPU) allows authorized subscribers in the local GeoCENTREX group to pick up calls that are diverted to the night service station pick up direct calls to the night service station To pick up a call the subscriber dials a feature code (Fig. 2.1). The number of the night service station from which the call is to be picked up is supplied automatically by EWSD. If several calls are queued simultaneously at the night service station, the subscriber who is picking up the calls is automatically assigned the call that has been waiting longest. EWSD rejects a subscriber who activates NSCPU when there is no call waiting at the night service station. The subscriber is also rejected if the call to the night service station has already been answered. The NSCPU feature only allows voice calls to be picked up.
