EE Hong Kong celebrated its 30th Anniversary, on

30 Nov 2008, with praises and thanksgiving.
Celebrations began with an afternoon Thanksgiving
Service at Kowloon City Baptist Church, where all
present were reminded of God’s blessings over the 30
years. Wrapping up the celebrations was a dinner at the
Bauhinia Seafood Restaurant, which was filled with
joyful fellowship and nostalgic reminiscing.
Pastor Liow Sing Teong, representing EE Singapore,
shared our good wishes and presented a specially-penned

calligraphy to commemorate the role of EE Hong Kong

in the formation of EE Singapore, 20 years ago.
The entire celebration was a time of thanksgiving,
with various reports attesting to God’s steadfastness and
grace in raising up thousands of trainers over the last 30
years, as well as allowing EE to be taught and used in
many churches in Hong Kong. EE Hong Kong
reaffirmed its reliance on God’s provision as they
endeavour to translate more EE material into Mandarin
and to promote EE into other parts of China.

perseverance and His faithfulness.

 MY HOPE & EE : AN EXCITING EXPERIENCE
Over December 2008 and January 2009, many homes and offices participated in the My Hope Project. Invitations
were sent to friends and family, colleagues and neighbours to attend a meal and to watch a presentation specially
prepared by the Project. In fact, there is no reason why homes cannot continue to remain open and available for
invitations and meals and presentations to continue.
One exciting possibility that arose from the Project was the use of EE to share the Gospel in both small and large
groups. After the Project video presentations were screened, EE teams used the opportunity to present the Gospel
and to ask for commitment. In one such small group setting, of the eight colleagues invited to the home, four gave
their life to Christ and two prayed to receive assurance of salvation and this is only one of many such teams.
EE teams also participated in large group outreach events by connecting and establishing the opportunity to return
to share the Gospel. One such event was held in the Novena area in the form of a “street party”. This involved an
anchor church supported by four households on the street and included the participation of about 30 residents and
20-30 invited guests from the church. A total of about 100 persons were involved, including carolers who presented
a hilarious take on the three “wise” men.
The strategy adopted by the local EE team was to first visit each unit to present the invitations and make contact,
then at the party, to take photographs and to later present the photographs when re-visiting the contacts.
Programmes such as the My Hope Project and the Alpha course are wonderful opportunities for churches and
local EE teams t make contact, do OJTs and share the Gospel. These are occasions to give local trainees and trainers
an Exciting Experience participating in God’s harvest.

and development for EE Thailand.
On 29 December 2008, God joined EE Thailand’s
(Filipino) Field Workers, Henry and Naomi Bimmolog in
holy matrimony with the theme “Together we Serve”. More
than 300 friends and relatives from all over the world
witnessed the union officiated by Rev. Greg Ambrose Roasa,
Dr. Rene Atienza and Rev. Arneil Mamburam at the Gospel
Church of Manila in Binondo.
Henry and Naomi first met on EE’s Tsunami Project in
Thailand and over time grew to take on more responsibilities
for EE Thailand, finally taking up the role of EE Thailand’s
field workers.
To make this ceremony a special “EE wedding”, in
addition to the traditional “gifts” presented to the couple was
an unusual set of “keys”. These keys were to remind the
couple that there are many keys but only one key opens the Naomi and Henry with Ps Nono, EE pastors and
