1. Heating and Cooling appliances for your kitchen There are rooms that should be in every house for it to be complete. These rooms come as a necessity rather than a choice. The bedroom, the kitchen and a bathroom/restroom are examples of these rooms. The way to the heart of man is said to be through the stomach. This makes the kitchen one of the most important if not the most important part, part of the house. The kitchen is therefore the heart and soul of the house. The kitchen is also referred to as the first love of women. That aside, there are certain appliances that come as basic requirements in any kitchen. Cooking appliances, kitchenware and heating and cooling appliances are just but a few of these basic appliances. Heating and cooling appliances are essential in any kitchen. Most of the activities that occur in the kitchen involve the production of heat and smoke. This makes it necessary to have systems to deal with this smoke and sometimes unwanted heat. In addition to that, temperatures sometimes do get to very low levels even in the kitchen. This also makes it necessary to have systems that can heat up the kitchen. The most common of these appliances are; heaters, air conditioners, fans, purifiers and dehumidifiers. Fans and air conditioners are mostly concerned with cooling, purifiers and dehumidifiers are concerned with controlling the quality of the air in the room while heaters are mainly concerned with heating up the room. All these appliances can be found in online stores, convenience stores and specialized appliance stores all over. http://www.google.co.ke/imgres? q=heating+and+cooling+appliances+for+the+kitchen&start=179&hl=sw& sa=X&tbo=d&biw=1280&bih=884&tbm=isch&tbnid=Q3tyAUUPU7AmxM:&i mgrefurl=http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/sol/shop/appliances/small_kitchen_ appliances/delonghistore/list.html&docid=RHW2I0ur3aVlWM&imgurl=http: //www.sainsburys.co.uk/assets/www/Category_landing/Category_Pods/Bran dShops/DeLonghi/Delonghi_Pod_6b.jpg&w=248&h=188&ei=IL3zUMyJHoex hAeZqoCACQ&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=1041&vpy=379&dur=2238&hovh=15 0&hovw=198&tx=124&ty=67&sig=116596758925583837510&page=6&tb nh=140&tbnw=168&ndsp=37&ved=1t:429,r:96,s:100,i:292

2. Ensuring safety of heating and cooling gadgets In every house and in every building that has people and activities taking place, it is essential to have heating and cooling gadgets. These gadgets are especially essential in homes, commercial buildings, hospitals and factories. They technically control the temperature and maintain it at levels that are friendly to the people around the environs. These gadgets also ensure that the temperatures in any production factory are at an optimum level. However, everything has a flip side; there are two sides of a coin. The second side of this coin is the risks posed by these gadgets. Most of these gadgets run on electricity and other forms of energy like fuel

making them potential disasters. It is therefore important to ensure the safety of heating and cooling gadgets. How exactly can this be done? Well, there are many ways of ensuring safety of heating and cooling gadgets. We will list a few of these ways; 1. Following the instructions of use to the letter and only using these gadgets when and where it is necessary. 2. These gadgets should be kept away from the reach of people especially children. 3. These gadgets should be fitted with power surge protectors since they deal directly with temperatures. Extreme hot and cold temperatures are dangerous. 4. These gadgets should be maintained on a regular basis and any repairs required done. This should be done by a professional. 5. When not in use these gadgets should be switched off. Remember your safety should always come first. Nothing in this world is as important as your life and your health. http://www.google.co.ke/imgres? q=safe+use+of+heating+and+cooling+appliances&hl=sw&sa=X&tbo=d&b iw=1280&bih=884&tbm=isch&tbnid=VXDtPQE4CTxSM:&imgrefurl=http://www.inedc.com/1819&docid=9v4thgsgxJkVwM&imgurl=http://www.inedc.com/sites/default/f iles/sliderimage/heap.jpg&w=500&h=300&ei=_r3zUM6zEZCDhQfyioGQAg&zoom=1&i act=hc&vpx=759&vpy=4&dur=4935&hovh=174&hovw=290&tx=198&ty=9 9&sig=116596758925583837510&page=1&tbnh=144&tbnw=240&start=0 &ndsp=33&ved=1t:429,r:4,s:0,i:89

3. Complex heating and cooling apparatus; the transition Most if not everything in this world exists in two forms. A simple form and a complex form. Even we human beings exist as a simple form in the wombs of our mothers and we develop with time to become complex and complicated beings. When it comes to technology, it is not any different. There are very simple forms of technology while there are other forms that exist in complex forms. A computer for

example is a complex form of technology. Heating and cooling apparatus are also not exempted from this rule. They too exist in simple and complex forms. A simple heating apparatus for example would be a charcoal burner, which is not even advisable to use because of the many health risks. Modern innovations have transformed the heating and cooling industry into a very advanced one. Indeed there are numerous complex heating and cooling apparatus in the market today. Some of them perform tasks that would have been impossible ten years ago. Some of these apparatus have the ability to multi-task. This means that they can act as coolers and as heaters depending on the situation of use. A good example of this would be the thermoelectric generator which can both reduce and increase temperatures. Then of course there are other complex apparatus like portable heaters and portable air conditioners. Purifiers and dehumidifiers are also not left behind. Who would have thought it possible to control the quality of air you breathe? Heating and cooling are important processes in our lives and have direct impacts on our health and other parts of our social lives. http://www.google.co.ke/imgres? q=modern+heating+and+cooling+systems&hl=sw&sa=X&tbo=d&biw=128 0&bih=884&tbm=isch&tbnid=m76wWXN_tqfvPM:&imgrefurl=http://www.r ealestate.com/advice/heating-and-coolingsystems&docid=k5r6C6sglpNVIM&imgurl=http://www.realestate.com/advi ce/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Fotolia_27322563_XS287x300.jpg&w=287&h=300&ei=0MLzUKDZBsS1hAfIrIGIBw&zoom=1&iact =rc&dur=428&sig=116596758925583837510&page=1&tbnh=165&tbnw=1 92&start=0&ndsp=34&ved=1t:429,r:19,s:0,i:134&tx=71&ty=89

4. Understanding heating and cooling processes Heating and cooling is a process. A paradox of sorts since it is both a simple and a complex process. It is interesting just how much this one process influences our lives, making them either more comfortable or less comfortable. Temperatures have been proven to have an effect on our mental stability as well as our attitudes. This makes heating and cooling a very vital process in our day to day lives. Heating and cooling processes are all basically the same; the main similarity being the end result. In addition to this, heating and cooling systems all have sources of warm or cold air e.g. a furnace, a means of equally distributing this air to the destination and a gadget that is used to regulate and control the system e.g. a thermostat. All these systems also use one principle in all their processes. This principle is that heat always moves from a warm place to a cooler place. Almost like saying, opposites attract. No matter the system in use, the principle used is always that one. Furnaces and heaters will therefore emit hot air which is then emitted to the cold areas while air conditioners let out cold air into hot areas. Another common

thing about heating and cooling processes is that they all use up energy/fuel. This fuel may either be in form of electricity, gas or even petroleum. Like mentioned earlier, the process is simple yet complex. A simple principle carried out in a complex manner. The next time you get yourself a heating and cooling system, you will be in the know of how it works. http://www.google.co.ke/imgres? q=HEATING+AND+COOLING+PROCESSES&hl=sw&sa=G&tbo=d&biw=1280 &bih=884&tbm=isch&tbnid=EgAXlF97KCFzzM:&imgrefurl=http://www.airi mprove.ltd.uk/air-conditioning-andheating.php&docid=G0CcCZsQ8lPvCM&imgurl=http://www.airimprove.ltd. uk/images/How-air-con-worksSmall.png&w=475&h=265&ei=mMnzUITuJcSThgfq5oGgAQ&zoom=1&iact= hc&vpx=4&vpy=203&dur=5985&hovh=168&hovw=301&tx=174&ty=85&si g=116596758925583837510&page=1&tbnh=135&tbnw=242&start=0&nds p=34&ved=1t:429,r:7,s:0,i:98

5. An oversight of heating and cooling in car engines The car is probably one of the most coveted things in the world. Men work their heads off trying to save money to buy a new, fast, big car. They treat their cars even better than they treat their women. Some even go to the extent of calling their cars names. Whichever case, cars are highly prized assets that have proven to be of a lot of use to us human beings. They have simply redefined transport and movement of people and goods. Cars are made up of several parts each part being inter-related to the other. Every car must have tires, an engine, a body and other necessities like lighting and chassis. The engine is an especially important part of the car. It is concerned with creating the energy required to help the car move and carry out its other functions. Because of this, processes in the engine are characterized by production of a lot heat which could be harmful and at the same time, useful for your car. Heating and cooling car engines are also inter-related with the heating and cooling systems in all other parts of the car. For example, excess heat produced in the engine could be channeled into the passenger section of the car when you need it. Overheating could also be destructive to the performance of your car engine, it is therefore necessary to have a cooling system in the engine. The refrigerant turns hot air into cold air and blows it into the engine. Heating and cooling in car engines directly affects the engines performance. It is important to routinely check and maintain the temperature regulator systems of your car.
