Scholarships Online (SOL) - User Policy Updated 10 July 2012

Thank you for registering with Scholarships Online (SOL). By using our Services, you are agreeing to these terms. Please read them carefully. Nuffic reserves the right to amend the User Policy in accordance with Dutch law and regulations. Users registered in SOL will be informed of changes on the Nuffic website: www.studyinholland.nl/sol. Information concerning SOL is available through the Online support form: http://www.studyinholland.nl/contact/contact-form.

Purpose

SOL users are only permitted to use SOL to submit applications for scholarship programs administered by Nuffic. It is not permitted to use SOL for other purposes Before using SOL users must read the information available on the Nuffic website concerning the Scholarship programme and SOL before preparing an application in SOL. The information is available on the Nuffic website, including the SOL manual: www.studyinholland.nl/sol. Deadlines and actions taken in SOL have consequences for your application. Nuffic bears no responsibility for exceeded deadlines or for the consequences of actions or lack of actions taken by users of SOL. Applications that have not been submitted before the applicable application deadline will be deleted after this deadline without further notification. Accounts and profiles that have not been used to submit a fellowship application will be deleted. Privacy

Nuffic collects personal information through the application process only. Nuffic will only disclose personal information to our partners and suppliers we engage to process data for administrative, assessment and selection of applications and for alumni purposes. We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information to third parties. Your information will be treated in accordance with the Dutch privacy law. Nuffic will use your contact details to inform you about your application. You are explicitly responsible for the correctness and completeness of the information in your profile and/ or application. Nuffic does not accept any liability whatsoever for accuracy of your profile or application. If needed, you must fill out and keep your profile information up to date at all times. You can change your contact details (address) yourself. Other personal details (i.e. name, date of birth, place of birth et cetera) can only be changed by Nuffic. More detailed instructions are available in the SOL manual (chapter 8 Personal account page). If you want to change your account information or personal details fill in the online request form including:

Name in your current profile Your date of birth Your email address Your application number in SOL The requested change: what do you want us to change? For verification purposes you must attach a copy of your identity document.

(See also chapter 8 Personal account page of the SOL manual) Nuffic will respond as soon as possible, but cannot guarantee that requests for profile changes will be done before the fellowship application deadline.

3.

Security

Given that the Internet is a global environment, using the Internet to collect and process personal data necessarily involves the transmission of data on an international basis. Therefore, by making an online application via SOL and by communicating electronically with us, you acknowledge and agree to our processing of personal data in this way. SOL does not make use of non-functional cookies. Nuffic has taken security measures against unauthorised access, loss and unlawful processing of the personal data of SOL users and scholarship applicants. Nuffic may at any time and without prior notice (temporarily) interrupt access to SOL if there is a (potential) security incident, interruption and / or maintenance is required. After termination, interruption or maintenance it is possible that the information users have registered in SOL are lost. SOL users are aware of and accept this risk.

Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights relating to SOL and the website belong to Nuffic, unless otherwise indicated.
