Ignorance is Bliss

And the Lord commanded the man, saying Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat, but of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it; for in the day that thou eatest thereof though shalt surely die. - Genesis 2: 16 17 Ignorance is bliss, as the Holy Book says. Although the fact seems irrational, if given a thought to, shall appear rather most relevant. If given a chance to go back in time and change just one event, the sole event that I would like to change shall be man losing his innocence obedience to the Lord and gaining knowledge and realization of self and environment. Had Satan not tempted the two to eat that Apple, that forbidden fruit of knowledge, the world would have been a far better place. Today the mans greatest problem is that he knows. For a moment let us imagine the the lack of knowledge. How would Garden of Eden? All the Seven Cardinal Sins are born out of knowledge: Desire, Gluttony (consumption of excess), Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy and Pride. Desire is born of the knowledge of good and bad and the need of the better, one creating an intense want of it. Gluttony is born out of greed to have the best of all in quantity as well as quality to have ones desires attained. It is born out of knowledge of mortality of self and hence attainment of desires is time-bound. Greed is born out of the knowledge of necessities of future. Sloth is born out of the knowledge of presence of future and that if a task can be postponed for there shall always be the next day. Wrath is born out of knowledge of past and happenings of it. Envy is born out of knowledge of others possession and Pride is born out of knowledge of self-possession. If analysed in an organized way, the cause of any problem is knowledge. When you know, you think. When you think, you worry. When you worry, the problem is born. The summary of this saying is that it is good to be unaware. It is good being in the ignorance for the root of all sins, all problems, all heart-ache is knowledge. Think over it.
