PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Gracious and merciful Father, Your love for us is too great to fathom; Your desire for us, beyond our ken. Yet our response is too often a shadow; our love for You is seldom offered; our devotion to You, weakly practiced. We do not seek first Your kingdom and its righteousness, And we do not love our neighbor as ourselves. Lord, have mercy upon us, and forgive us our sins, we pray. Shine the brightness of Your love upon our hearts, and reveal every sin we would hide or ignore, That we may truly repent, turn afresh to Your grace, and walk in the light of Your steadfast love. Renew in us a living faith that shines with Your salvation, And delights to do Your will, Through Jesus Christ, our Lord and our Savior, in whose gracious name we pray. Amen.
