January 31, 2013 Insight comes from God There are times when our lives seem to have

no form, being in complete darkness, being a total void and yet, we can rest assured that even in these dark times Gods Spirit is moving. In the midst of our spiritual blindness we hear God speak. 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 states that if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. Without Christ every single one of us is blinded by the darkness of our own selfish, self-centered hearts. As we selfishly take and consume all that we desire, we only grow darker, unable to see that real life, true enjoyment comes from giving to others; this is the life Christ led. We need God to remove our blindness and help us to see things (including our selves) as they really are. But, we need to ask Him. He doesnt move if we dont want Him to. We can speak with our mouths, and we can even partially desire Him to move and change us, but if there is ONE part that does not desire His change, God will not violate that parts wishes. He wants ALL of us every single part. Once we give God EVERYTHING ALL of us, His Holy Spirit comes. Jesus told His disciples about the Holy Spirit in John 16. Verse 13 calls Him the Spirit of Truth. Howbeit when He, the Spirit of Truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He will not speak of himself; but whosoever He will hear, that will He speak: and He will show you things to come. Gods Holy Spirit keeps us from the errors of our own selves, the world around us and the enemy of our souls all the things that continually try to pull us away from our relationship with Jesus. We cannot fight them on our own. We need the Help that only His Holy Spirit can give. When we ask God to remove our blindness or to open our eyes God is NOT going to give us knowledge that we dont have. He will, however illuminate what we already know and what we study. If we want know the truth and be set free by the truth, we must STUDY, DIG IN, MEMORIZE, and MEDITATE to learn more about God from His Word. 2 Timothy 2:15 tells us to study and show yourself approved to God, a workman that needs not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. The quality of our work, whatever it is an extension of the quality of our character, so it is important to do our best at all things, at all times, in all situations not just the ones we want or like. Then we will find saturated in His wisdom, strength, precision and endurance, perfectly positioned to experience Gods Pleasure. Psalm 119:11 Your word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against You. Psalm 119:17-19 Deal bountifully with your servant, that I may live, and keep your word. Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law. I am a stranger in the earth: hide not your commandments from me. Joshua 1:8 This book of the law will not depart out of your mouth; but you will meditate therein day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. John 14:26: But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in My Name, He will teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said to you.

We can be free to enjoy Gods Pleasure because we can be free from the burden of remembering! We can trust the Holy Spirit to remind us of what we need to know AS we need to know. And Hell never give us knowledge before we need to know!
