Technology Help Sessions for Students: Evernote


Monday, February 4, 4:00-5:00 p.m. Krumm East Computer Lab Room 28 This spring the library staff will continue offering technology sessions to students who are interested in learning a little bit more about the web, software, and the changing digital environment. The next FREE hour-long session features Evernote. Evernote helps you collect information from online sources with your laptop, tablet, or phone; take notes and access them anywhere; organize all of your academic and personal stuff on the web in one place; and more! The next session is Monday, February 4th from 4:00-5:00 in the Krumm East Computer Lab Room 28. You can sign up here (http://bit.ly/V9o5Au). Friday, March 1, 4:45-6:30 p.m. First floor of the GV Library

The Grand View University Library is excited to host a panel of speakers. Area filmmakers Nick Strickland, Mike Kieler (SouthSiderStudios), and Sam Tuomi (48 Hour Film Project) will speak about how they got started in filmmaking, challenges of working in the field, advice for those who are interested in becoming involved in the filmmaking industry, upcoming film events in the area (festivals, projects), and share some lessons theyve learned. They will also share clips or examples of their work and leave time for questions at the end. Their presentation will be followed by a reception.

Research to Go!
April 2-4 and 9-11, midday Rasmussen, Upper level Have you ever wanted to ask a librarian a quick question (or not-so-quick question), but you were in a different building and didnt want to pack up all of your stuff to head to the library? In April the librarians will come to you (sort of)! Research to Go will be happening April 24 and 9-11. Librarians will be at the upper level of Rasmussen with a laptop, ready to help you with any questions you might have about citations or research. Be watching your email for further announcements as to exact times.

YA Book Club: February Meeting


Monday, February 25, 7:30-8:30 p.m. First floor of the GV Library Interested in reading Young Adult Literature?
