Our services include; yield improvement, energy optimisation, planning, petroleum economics, RAM (reliability, availability and maintenance) and operator training. Along with our energy software, SuperTarget and ProSteam we have our refinery wide process optimiser/simulator Petro-SIM. The Position We are currently looking for an undergraduate that will initially be placed in our Northwich office focusing mainly on work within our energy service. The work will involve consultancy type tasks carrying out energy optimisation projects and the development of tools to help in these projects. The role will be based in the Northwich office although there may be requirements to visit our clients sites and also work in our other offices. Although focusing on energy projects, there may be the opportunity to work in any of KBCs other businesses when the need and requirements arise. Student Attributes The candidate should ideally possess the following attributes: High technical ability with an expected degree qualification of a 1st or 2.1 in Chemical Engineering Highly motivated with a hard work ethic Good communicator and team player Would like to pursue a career in consultancy or contracting Be computer literate with established skills primarily in Excel and also other Microsoft products Be prepared to travel Ideally be familiar with process simulation using commercial software - not essential Ideally be familiar with Pinch principles as used in process integration - not essential
