3. Title: Adrenal Fatigue: An Unrecognized And Under-Treated Stress

Syndrome.

4. Short description of presentation: Adrenal fatigue is one of the most

under-diagnosed, yet pervasive syndromes involved in acute and chronic
illness. This presentation will familiarize the physician with the signs and
symptoms of adrenal fatigue, simple diagnostic tests, and proper treatment
protocols.

5.
Goals - The goals for this presentation will be to:
1) Introduce the concept of Adrenal Fatigue
2) Present the general physiology of decreased adrenal function.
3) Familiarize attendees with the symptoms and clinical manifestation of Adrenal
Fatigue.
4) Explain an easily implemented treatment protocol.

Objectives - After this lecture on Adrenal Fatigue attendees will be able to:
1) Understand the basic physiology precipitating the clinical presentation of
Adrenal Fatigue
2) Recognize some of the most common signs and symptoms of Adrenal Fatigue
3) Be familiar with the clinical tests to determine its presence.
4) Know the general treatment protocol for Adrenal Fatigue

Presentation outline:
Adrenal fatigue is one of the most under-diagnosed, yet pervasive
syndromes involved in acute and chronic illness. It is both a distinct
disorder and a contributing factor to the symptom complex of conditions
such as allergies, environmental sensitivities, addictions, hypoglycemia,
food cravings, PMS, peri-menopausal and post menopausal disorders,
sexual dysfunction, accelerated aging, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia,
rheumatoid arthritis and other auto-immune disorders. Physicians see
adrenal fatigue their office regularly, yet often fail to recognize it as a
diagnosable and treatable condition. This leaves the patient wandering
from doctor to doctor in search of help. Proper recognition and treatment
will often quicken recovery, shorten the duration of illness and disability,
and favorably affect the outcome and reoccurrence or progression of many
illnesses. This presentation will familiarize the physician with the signs and
symptoms of adrenal fatigue, simple diagnostic tests, and proper treatment
protocols.
The purpose of this presentation is to help the practicing physician, recognize
and comprehensively treat Adrenal Fatigue, the most common adrenal
dysfunction, and to briefly review Adrenal Fatigue, answer any questions related
to Adrenal Fatigue or adrenal function and to provide new information related to
Adrenal Fatigue.
· Adrenal Fatigue is Adrenal Depletion
· Review of the Key Signs and Symptoms of Adrenal Fatigue
· Clinical Tests Indicating Adrenal Fatigue
· Lab Tests Indicating Adrenal Fatigue
· Current Information

Pharmacy discussion will not occur during the presentation

6. Biographical sketch
Dr. Wilson received his Ph.D. in Human Nutrition from the University of
Arizona, with minors in Immunology, Microbiology, Pharmacology and Toxicology,
and research in Cellular Immunology. His doctorates in Chiropractic Medicine
and Naturopathic Medicine are from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College
and the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM), respectively. As
one of the 14 founding fathers of CCNM, now the largest Naturopathic College in
the world, Dr. Wilson has long been on the forefront of alternative medicine. With
a researcher's grasp of science and a clinician's understanding of its human
impact, Dr. Wilson has helped many thousands in the healthcare field understand
the physiology behind and treatment of various complex health conditions. He is
acknowledged as an expert on alternative medicine, especially in the area of
stress and adrenal function, and is a respected and sought after speaker in the
medical and public communities in the United States and abroad. He regularly
speaks at some of the most prestigious medical conferences including: the
American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M); the American Academy for
Advancement in Medicine (ACAM), Fellowship in Anti-Aging and Environmental
Medicine (FAAFM), the American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM).

His popular book Adrenal Fatigue: The 21st Century Stress Syndrome,
now in its 9th printing, has been received enthusiastically by physicians and the
public alike as a guide out of the tangled web of stress and illness that affects so
many people. Dr. Wilson resides in Tucson, Arizona, where he is the President of
Future Formulations.
