Health care sector and Maharashtra region I would like to work on the health care industry for the

Maharashtra region. The reason for choosing this sector is that the forecasted growth for the industry shows very good perspective for new venture to bloom and nurture. To say the Flich agency has projected the over healthcare sector to grow up to US $100 million by 2015 from the current US $ 65 million at present, the annual growth rate comes to around 20% YOY for the sector which is quite high as compared to the other sector. Secondly the companies having the hospital chain have decided to lunch the concept called the health cities which will primarily target 15 cities throughout India. The reason for choosing the Maharashtra region is that Maharashtra alone accounts for almost 28 % of the total market throughout India. Also Maharashtra health care is expected to grow at a very high rate as the average income in this region for the people tend to be increasing at a very high rate. Also the development of the health cities, one of major cities is proposed at Nagpur will give rise to all the health care related services. And as the city comes under the tier 2 category the rates of the property at the place are right now very and can be acquired easily at a very low cost. Product and Services I would propose the setting up of a chain of the Pharmacy or retail outlets for the High end medicines that are otherwise not easily available in the region, as the setting up of the health city will create a huge demand for the medicine and there are not many venues where the patients get the rarely available medicines. The low infrastructure cost will not only allow the financially viable outlets.
