1. Background Ufone being the telecom sector leader in Pakistan strongly believes in nourishing a conducive internal environment at intra and inter departmental level. It has helped the organization in reaping efficiency and effectiveness through innovativeness. The internal environment at Ufone is composed of factors, such as its organizational culture, structure, human resources, policies and technology. The management exercises a large degree of control to nurture corporate culture comprising of shared beliefs and values that has helped in developing the productive behavior of its members. In quest of excellence, Ufone management feels that organizational culture can be a major contributor to accomplishment of achieving goals if it is properly aligned with the challenges in the organizations environment. The management desires to conduct a study of the Ufones internal environment and corporate practices followed with the intent to furthering the efficiency and effectiveness of its team. 2. Objectives & Scope of the Study 2.1 2.2 2.3 2.4 To analyze in detail the internal environment and the importance of corporate culture at Ufone To study the ethics and social responsibility enshrined and its overall impact on the internal environment To elaborate the working environment and the behavior of employees at Ufone. To proffer recommendations for improvements based upon the best practices followed in the industry and postulated in management principles. 3. Research Methodology The research will be evolved as under:3.1 Primary Research Based upon the environment and corporate culture as best understood by ones own observation. IT will comprise of the management theories and principles practiced globally and enshrined in the values of the Ufone. 3.2 Interviews Scheduling interviews of the workforce for seeking their observations and inputs from the actual work environment 3.3 Questionnaires The questionnaires would be framed with the intent to get targeted response covering the study areas. The key stake holders from various departments would be requested

to fill the questionnaires. Inputs would also be sought from the human resource department managers & staff, who strive to achieve an appropriate corporate culture in the Ufone. 4. Conclusions Drawn from the Study This section shall comprise of the major conclusions drawn from the conducted research. 5. Recommendations Based upon the conclusions, an effort would be made to proffer viable recommendations that shall help the management at Ufone in addressing the slackness observed in nurturing a conducive internal environment and corporate culture for accruing optimal efficiency and effectiveness from the Ufone team. 6.
