The impact of your written statement can be nearly as important as the work itself. Please give some thought to the expressive
qualities that you have explored in the work. You can also mention the formal qualities, media and technique. Mentioning expressive
ideas such as appreciation of the beauty, symbolism in the work the social issue addressed in the genre painting, or the personal
feelings portrayed in the self-portrait, etc. are what your audience will relate to. Remember that advocacy is essential in our exhibit!
