Ron Pauls Farewell to Congress Full Transcript of Speech

This may well be the last time I speak on the House Floor. At the end of the year Ill leave Congress after 23 years in office over a 36 year period. My goals in 1976 were the same as they are today: promote peace and prosperity by a strict adherence to the principles of individual liberty. It was my opinion, that the course the U.S. embarked on in the latter part of the 20th Century would bring us a major financial crisis and engulf us in a foreign policy that would overextend us and undermine our national security. To achieve the goals I sought, government would have had to shrink in size and scope, reduce spending, change the monetary system, and reject the unsustainable costs of policing the world and expanding the American Empire. The problems seemed to be overwhelming and impossible to solve, yet from my view point, just following the constraints placed on the federal government by the Constitution would have been a good place to start. as the economy weakens and the downward spiral continues. As the government continues fiddling around, our liberties and our wealth burn in the flames of a foreign policy that makes us less safe. The major stumbling block to real change in Washington is the total resistance to admitting that the country is broke. This has made compromising, just to agree to increase spending, inevitable since neither side has any intention of cutting spending. The country and the Congress will remain divisive since theres no loot left to divvy up. Without this recognition the spenders in Washington will continue the march toward a fiscal cliff much bigger than the one anticipated this coming January. I have thought a lot about why those of us who believe in liberty, as a solution, have done so poorly in convincing others of its benefits. If liberty is what we claim it is- the principle that protects all personal, social and economic decisions necessary for maximum prosperity and the best chance for peace- it should be an easy sell. Yet, history has shown that the masses have been quite receptive to the promises of authoritarians which are rarely if ever fulfilled. conditions to deteriorate to the degree that they have. Freedom, private property, and enforceable voluntary contracts, generate wealth. In our early history we were very much aware of this. But in the early part of the 20th century our politicians promoted the notion that the tax and monetary systems had to change if we were to involve ourselves in excessive domestic and military spending. That is why Congress gave us the Federal Reserve and the income tax. The majority of Americans and many government officials agreed that sacrificing some liberty was necessary to carry out what some claimed to be progressive ideas. Pure democracy became acceptable. They failed to recognized that what they were doing was exactly opposite of what the colonists were seeking when they broke away from the British. Some complain that my arguments makes no sense, since great wealth and the standard of living improved for many Americans over the last 100 years, even with these new policies. But the damage to the market economy, and the currency, has been insidious and steady. It took a long time to consume our wealth, destroy the currency and undermine productivity and get our financial obligations to a point of no return. Confidence sometimes lasts longer than deserved. Most of our wealth today depends on debt. The wealth that we enjoyed and seemed to be endless, allowed concern for the principle of a free society to be neglected. As long as most people believed the material abundance would last forever, worrying about protecting a competitive productive economy and individual liberty seemed unnecessary. free market. It is good that material abundance is a result of liberty but if materialism is all that we care about, problems are guaranteed. The crisis arrived because the illusion that wealth and prosperity would last forever has ended. Since it was based on debt and a pretense that debt can be papered over by an out-of-control fiat monetary system, it was doomed to fail. We have ended up with a system that doesnt produce enough even to finance the debt and no fundamental understanding of why a free society is crucial to reversing these trends. If this is not recognized, the recovery will linger for a long time. Bigger government, more spending, more debt, more poverty for the middle class, and a more intense scramble by the elite special interests will continue. The issues of warfare, welfare, deficits, inflationism, corporatism, bailouts and authoritarianism cannot be ignored. By only expanding these policies we cannot expect good results. Everyone claims support for freedom. But too often its for ones own freedom and not for others. Too many believe that there must be limits on freedom. They argue that freedom must be directed and managed to achieve fairness and equality thus making it acceptable to curtail, through force, certain liberties. Some decide what and whose freedoms are to be limited. These are the politicians whose goal in life is power. Their success depends on gaining support from special interests. provide privileges and benefits to all special interests. After over 100 years we face a society quite different from the one that was intended by the Founders. In many ways their efforts to protect future generations with the Constitution from this danger has failed. Skeptics, at the time the Constitution was written in 1787, warned us of todays possible outcome. The insidious nature of the erosion of our liberties and the reassurance our great abundance gave us, allowed the process to evolve into the dangerous period in which we now live.

Dependency on Government Largesse

Today we face a dependency on government largesse for almost every need. Our liberties are restricted and government operates outside the rule of law, protecting and rewarding those who buy or coerce government into satisfying their demands. Here are a few examples: Undeclared wars are commonplace. Welfare for the rich and poor is considered an entitlement. The economy is overregulated, overtaxed and grossly distorted by a deeply flawed monetary system. Debt is growing exponentially. The Patriot Act and FISA legislation passed without much debate have resulted in a steady erosion of our 4th Amendment rights. Tragically our government engages in preemptive war, otherwise known as aggression, with no complaints from the American people. The drone warfare we are pursuing worldwide is destined to end badly for us as the hatred builds for innocent lives lost and the international laws flaunted. Once we are financially weakened and militarily challenged, there will be a lot resentment thrown our way. Its now the law of the land that the military can arrest American citizens, hold them See Ron Paul1 Continued on Page 3

No More isms
The great news is the answer is not to be found in more isms. The answers are to be found in more liberty which cost so much less. Under these circumstances spending goes down, wealth production goes up, and the quality of life improves. Just this recognitionespecially if we move in this directionincreases optimism which in itself is beneficial. The follow through with sound policies are required which must be understood and supported by the people. But there is good evidence that the generation coming of age at the present time is supportive of moving in the direction of more liberty and self-reliance. The more this change in direction and the solutions become known, the quicker will be the return of optimism. Our job, for those of us who believe that a different system than the one that we have had for the last 100 years, has driven us to this unsustainable crisis, is to be more convincing that there is a wonderful, uncomplicated, and moral system that provides the answers. We had a taste of it in our early history. We need not give up on the notion of advancing this cause. It worked, but we allowed our leaders to concentrate on the material abundance that freedom generates, while ignoring freedom itself. Now we have neither, but the door is open, out of necessity, for an answer. The answer available is based on the Constitution, individual liberty and prohibiting the use of government force to

We Need an Intellectual Awakening

Without an intellectual awakening, the turning point will be driven by economic law. A dollar crisis will bring the current out-of-control system to its knees. If its not accepted that big government, fiat money, ignoring liberty, central economic planning, welfarism, and warfarism caused our crisis we can expect a continuous and dangerous march toward corporatism and even fascism with even more loss of our liberties. Prosperity for a large middle class though will become an abstract dream. This continuous move is no different than what we have seen in how our financial crisis of 2008 was handled. Congress first directed, with bipartisan support, bailouts for the wealthy. Then it was the Federal Reserve with its endless quantitative easing. If at first it doesnt succeed try again; QE1, QE2, and QE3 and with no results we try QE indefinitelythat is until it too fails. Theres a cost to all of this and let me assure you delaying the payment is no longer an option. The rules of the market will extract its pound of flesh and it wont be pretty. The current crisis elicits a lot of pessimism. And the pessimism adds to less confidence in the future. The two feed on themselves, making our situation worse. If the underlying cause of the crisis is not understood we cannot solve our problems.

How Much Did I Accomplish?

In many ways, according to conventional wisdom, my off-and-on career in Congress, from 1976 to 2012, accomplished very little. No named legislation, no named federal buildings or highwaysthank goodness. In spite of my efforts, the government has grown exponentially, taxes remain excessive, and the prolific increase of incomprehensible regulations continues. Wars are constant and pursued without Congressional declaration, deficits rise to the sky, poverty is rampant and dependency on the federal government is now worse than any time in our history. All this with minimal concerns for the deficits and unfunded liabilities that common sense tells us cannot go on much longer. A grand, but never mentioned, bipartisan agreement allows for the well-kept secret that keeps the spending going. One side doesnt give up one penny on military spending, the other side doesnt give up one penny on welfare spending, while both sides support the bailouts and subsidies for the banking and corporate elite. And the spending continues

Authoritarianism vs. Liberty

If authoritarianism leads to poverty and war and less freedom for all individuals and is controlled by rich special interests, the people should be begging for liberty. There certainly was a strong enough sentiment for more freedom at the time of our founding that motivated those who were willing to fight in the revolution against the powerful British government. During my time in Congress the appetite for liberty has been quite weak; the understanding of its significance negligible. Yet the good news is that compared to 1976 when I first came to Congress, the desire for more freedom and less government in 2012 is much greater and growing, especially in grassroots America. Tens of thousands of teenagers and college age students are, with great enthusiasm, welcoming the message of liberty. I have a few thoughts as to why the people of a country like ours, once the freest and most prosperous, allowed the

The Age of Redistribution

This neglect ushered in an age of redistribution of wealth by government kowtowing to any and all special interests, except for those who just wanted to left alone. That is why today money in politics far surpasses money currently going into research and development and productive entrepreneurial efforts. The material benefits became more important than the understanding and promoting the principles of liberty and a

From the Editor...

Christi. I believed that advertising from their areas would make it not only possible to pay for the added costs of printing and distributing more copies but also possibly generate more capital for the The Texas Free Press so as to be able to further expand. As many long-time readers know, I changed some of the content of the publication as well as the name in order to make it appeal to others outside our community. So far, the expansion into Brazoria County is running at a financial loss. Even though I am assured by these men that The Texas Free Press is very much appreciated there and flies off the shelves, only three businesses have contributed much-appreciated advertising: Healthy Way Dairy in Santa Fe, James Mowing Service in Lake Jackson and Gulf Coast Tactical in Lake Jackson. Unfortunately, to continue distribution to that area, TTFP needs at least four times that many advertisers in that area. If you own a business anywhere in that area and have not seen TTFP, distributed for free to customers, please call James Benge at 979-848-9650. He will provide you copies. If you are a business or organization that would like to help promote the message of this publication, ad rates are quite reasonable. Call Jenell at 979505-9062 about advertising. You can advertise your business or organization for as little as $50 per month. Without a major influx of revenue from Brazoria County businesses and organizations, distribution in that area will end with the February issue. Do not let this happen. If we can at least quit operating in your area at a loss, we would consider continued distribution. If and when I get enough advertising, I will create an entire page especially for Brazosport area advertisers. Meanwhile, the Lake Corpus Christi area and areas nearby have been my continued support, and it is my home and community. Beginning with the January issue, I will reinstate the Upcoming Events column and the listing of local churches as well as the Community Organizations segment. When space is available, I will reinstitute the Fun in the Area photos of people having a good time. For all of our readers and advertisers, we thank you for your continued support, and we wish you a very happy holiday season. Yours truly, Penny Peavy Editor/Publsiher 361-547-9062 penny@thetexasfreepress.com

What a month! Aside from enjoyable social events and the cooler fall weather, the political scene around the world, especially in the U.S. has been fascinating. I was so stunned that Obama won re-election I spent the entire next day in a sort of a mental shock.. Not that I was any fan of Romney, but I just could not believe that so many people would vote to re-elect Obama. It is a clear sign that Americans vote for anything they think will make life easier for them, with absolutely no thought about the Constitution or liberty, no thought about what made America great in the first place and no thought about how the continuation of the welfare/warfare state will ruin the U.S.A. and the State of Texas. This past month there have been petitions to the White House for state secession. Maybe I am stupid, but I had always thought that secession of any state from any country started with the people petitioning their respective lawmaking bodies to file for secession. Nevertheless, the fact that so many Texans signed the petition is, at a minimum, a sign of how angry patriot Americans are about the direction of this country, about big government, being patted down at transportation centers, watched all the time by RFID chips, drones, photographs at stop lights, photographs on toll roads and innumerable other acts against privacy and the right to just be left alone. In San Antonio, school students at two high schools are being subjected to wearing student identification badges that contain an RFID chip, allowing the school district (and anyone else who knows how to do it) to track the students all day long, where they are, even in the bathroom. The ostensible purpose is to increase the districts state-funded attendance revenues. As a skeptic, it seems to me just as much as a way to allow the governmentschooled student to accept being tracked and watched all the time and to expect it throughout their lifetimes. Public schools are in business to raise compliant citizens, not to educate. Most of the articles in this issue address this ever increasing tyranny and loss of liberty. Tyranny and freedom cannot exist side by side. I hope you will read them all.

A Comprehensive View of Agenda 21 Nullification and Secession

After the November 6, election, petitions to the White House were started in most, if not all, states in the United States. These petitions simply ask the White House to read them. It was required that each petition reach 25,000 signatures before the White House might respond. There is an element of ignorance and stupidity on the part of the people who signed these petitions, but there are also important messages to listen to. Of course, most of those who signed these petitions may have been responding to the fact that Obama was re-elected. While even yours truly is pretty depressed about that fact, sending petitions to the very dictator who oppresses us is probably not the best way to address our grievances of which there are many. For those who seriously believe that secession is the only way Texas and Texans can survive the onslaught of government regulation, tyranny and taxes, go to the website of The Texas Nationalist Movement (TNM) and educate yourselves about the appropriate manner in which to peacefully secede. The website is at: www.texasnationalist.com At TNM website, there is a petition to legislators to get a referendumon a ballot to let the people of Texas decide whether they want to secede or at least seriously discuss it. For others, not ready to go so far as secession yet, there is the possibility of state nullification of federal laws. There is precedent for state nullification, and I think serious efforts at nullification should take place in Texas before getting serious about secession. This seems to have been tried in Texas when the lawmakers told TSA we dont want them in Texas, but the money powers won out when the federal government made threats. What it takes for nullification to work is for all Texas lawmakers and the governor to at least pretend they are brave and courageous and stand up for the rights of Texans. A good discription of the historical origins of nullification comes by way of the following website: http://takebackthepower.us/Nul lification.html Here are the contents of the page: Nullification It may have occurred to those visiting this site, and who have never before been exposed to its ideas and goals, that there is no precedent for the states to nullify a federal law (declare it void or unconstitutional). But there is! In June-July of 1798, the Congress passed what are known collectively as the "Alien and Sedition Acts." The Sedition Act made it illegal to publicly criticize the government or government officials. As an obvious restriction on free speech, in violation of the First Amendment, The Sedition Act was the most controversial of the Acts. States, and James Madison assisted Kentucky and Virginia, respectively, to void The Acts within their borders. Jefferson drafted resolutions against The Acts for the Kentucky legislature. Madison likewise drafted resolutions against The Acts for the Virginia legislature. In November, the Kentucky legislature passed Jefferson's resolutions declaring the Acts void, and in December the Virginia legislature passed Madison's, declaring the Acts unconstitutional. Here is a portion of the Kentucky resolution (emphasis added): RESOLVED, That this commonwealth considers the federal union, upon the terms and for the purposes specified in the late compact, as conducive to the liberty and happiness of the several states: That it does now unequivocally declare its attachment to the Union, and to that compact, agreeable to its obvious and real intention, and will be among the last to seek its dissolution: That if those who administer the general government be permitted to transgress the limits fixed by that compact, by a total disregard to the special delegations of power therein contained, annihilation of the state governments, and the erection upon their ruins, of a general consolidated government, will be the inevitable consequence: That the principle and construction contended for by sundry of the state legislatures, that the general government is the exclusive judge of the extent of the powers delegated to it, stop nothing short of despotism; since the discretion of those who administer the government, and not the constitution, would be the measure of their powers: That the several states who formed that instrument, being sovereign and independent, have the unquestionable right to judge of its infraction; and that a nullification, by those sovereignties, of all unauthorized acts done under color of that instrument, is the rightful remedy: That this commonwealth does upon the most deliberate reconsideration declare, that the said alien and sedition laws, are in their opinion, palpable violations of the said constitution; and however cheerfully it may be disposed to surrender its opinion to a majority of its sister states in matters of ordinary or doubtful policy; yet, in momentous regulations like the present, which so vitally wound the best rights of the citizen, it would consider a silent acquiescence as highly criminal: That although this commonwealth as a party to the federal compact; will bow to the laws of the Union, yet it does at the same time declare, that it will not now, nor ever hereafter, cease to oppose in a constitutional manner, every attempt from what quarter so ever offered, to violate that compact...

Part One of Three

Have you ever seen the motion picture The Demolition Man? Its the one with Sylvester Stallone and Wesley Snipes where Stallone is a topof-the-line cop after the citys most malicious criminal portrayed by Snipes. Remember, how as part of Stallones sentence for causing the destruction and death of innocent bystanders as a result of Stallones relentless efforts to capture the most dangerous criminal known to man, Stallone along with Snipes were cryogenically frozen? Remember the world Stallone awoke to when he was thawed out to chase down Snipes once again? Remember how society had changed where no physical contact was allowed and Taco Bell overtook the food industry? Remember how those who wished to live freely without a nanny-welfare-state were left to live underground and deemed terrorists? Remember how everything was regulated and critical thinking was no longer taught nor encouraged and how the police of the utopian state had no idea how to handle a brute-fossil like Snipes and relied on a handheld device to give instruction? Remember how all firearms were a part of barbarian history and kept under tight security at the museum? Remember how the leader of San Angeles Dr. Raymond Cocteau was a revered leader who was never questioned and seen as a savior when he eradicated crime? Remember how the doctor programed Snipes to kill the leader of the underground resistance even though he advocated peace? Now imagine every utopian idea expressed in The Demolition Man, among many, many others here in America. Imagine how every single aspect of life is governed and regulated by a totalitarian state. Imagine a place where driving is left for the rich and the everyday Joe has to walk, use public transportation, or peddle his way to work; only after he has registered his movements and used his credits to do so the night before. Imagine a place where meat is a delicacy indulged in once a year, your birthday; and food is purchased with a calorie card. Imagine a place where the state decides where you are going to work and what your trade will be; not based on your abilities, rather, placement is based on the needs of the state. Imagine a world where home organic gardens are seen as dangerous and shunned. Imagine a place where, you as an individual are obsolete and expendable to the state depending on the needs of the state. Imagine a place where free thought is defeated and punished by the consensus of the experts. If you are a frequent reader of The Texas Free Press you have an idea what Agenda 21 is and how it is currently being implemented locally to overtake our towns. If this is the first time you pick this periodical; I urge you read on. This article will cover exactly what Agenda 21 is and how it is being implemented in your county. Today you will begin to learn the history and intricacies of the agenda for the 21st century and what it means for you and everyone that you love. What is Agenda 21? Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 1992, the United Nations held a conference to build a consensus on how to address issues that affect the planet as a whole, thus every individual on Earth. Maurice Strong, UN Conference Secretary-General opened the conference with the following statement: Isnt the only hope for the planet that the industrialized nations collapse? Isnt it our responsibility to bring that about? The conference discussed the link between the environment and development, pollution and waste from industrialized nations, and the inconvenient truth of global warming. The conference, also known as the Earth Summit set out to build upon the 1972 United Nations Conference on Human Environment held in Stockholm and outlined 27 principals With the goal of establishing a new and equitable global partnership through the creation of new levels of cooperation among States, key sectors of societies, and people, Working towards international agreements which respect the interests of all and protect the integrity of the global environmental and developmental system, Recognizing the integral and interdependent nature of Earth, our home. One year after the declaration came Agenda 21: Programme of Action for Sustainable Development; an agenda for the 21st century. The action plan (formalized and printed in 1993) of Agenda 21 to ensure the longevity of the planet is to dramatically curtail and eliminate any human activity that is deemed unsustainable. Although the Rio declaration was built upon the 1972 Conference on Human Environment; the declaration was the call-to-action as the result of the Brundtland Commission report. A few key principals of the twenty-seven set forth in Agenda 21 reveal the endgame of the action plan. For instance, principal number three states, The right to development must be fulfilled so as to equitably meet developmental and environmental needs of present and future generations. Principle number three may be met by building on principle number eight which pronounces that States should reduce and eliminate unsustainable patterns of production and consumption. Principle number five reflects Strongs opening statements, All States and all People shall cooperate in the essential task of eradicating poverty as an indispensable requirement for sustainable development, in order to decrease the disparities in standards of living and better meet the needs of the majority of the people of the world. The correlation between the principal and Strongs statement is better understood when paragraph 1.4 of the Agenda 21 preamble is read, The developmental and environmental objectives of Agenda 21 will require a See Agenda 21 Continued on Page 6

fairness, while facilitating wealth production. This always proves to be a utopian dream and destroys wealth and liberty. It impoverishes the people and rewards the special interests who end up controlling both political parties. Its no surprise then that much of what goes on in Washington is driven by aggressive partisanship and power seeking, with philosophic differences being minor.

Economic Ignorance
Economic ignorance is commonplace. Keynesianism continues to thrive, although today it is facing healthy and enthusiastic rebuttals. Believers in military Keynesianism and domestic Keynesianism continue to desperately promote their failed policies, as the economy languishes in a deep slumber. Supporters of all government edicts use humanitarian arguments to justify them. Humanitarian arguments are always used to justify government mandates related to the economy, monetary policy, foreign policy, and personal liberty. This is on purpose to make it more difficult to challenge. But, initiating violence for humanitarian reasons is still violence. Good intentions are no excuse and are just as harmful as when people use force with bad intentions. The results are always negative. The immoral use of force is the source of mans political problems. Sadly, many religious groups, secular organizations, and psychopathic authoritarians endorse government initiated force to change the world. Even when the desired goals are well-intentionedor especially when well-intentionedthe results are dismal. The good results sought never materialize. The new problems created require even more government force as a solution. The net result is institutionalizing government initiated violence and morally justifying it on humanitarian grounds.

Trust Yourself, Not the Government

Too many people have for too long placed too much confidence and trust in government and not enough in themselves. Fortunately, many are now becoming aware of the seriousness of the gross mistakes of the past several decades. The blame is shared by both political parties. Many Americans now are demanding to hear the plain truth of things and want the demagoguing to stop. Without this first step, solutions are impossible. Seeking the truth and finding the answers in liberty and self-reliance promotes the optimism necessary for restoring prosperity. The task is not that difficult if politics doesnt get in the way. We have allowed ourselves to get into such a mess for various reasons. Politicians deceive themselves as to how wealth is produced. Excessive confidence is placed in the judgment of politicians and bureaucrats. This replaces the confidence in a free society. Too many in high places of authority became convinced that only they, armed with arbitrary government power, can bring about

This is the same fundamental reason our government uses force for invading other countries at will, central economic planning at home, and the regulation of personal liberty and habits of our citizens. It is rather strange, that unless one has a criminal mind and no respect for other people and their property, no one claims its permissible to go into ones neighbors house and tell them how to behave, what they can eat, smoke and drink or how to spend their money. Yet, rarely is it asked why it is morally acceptable that a stranger with a badge and a gun can do the same thing in the name of law and order. Any resistance is met with brute force, fines, taxes, arrests, and even imprisonment. This is done more frequently every day without a proper search warrant.

Questions

No Government Monopoly over Initiating Violence

Restraining aggressive behavior is one thing, but legalizing a government monopoly for initiating aggression can only lead to exhausting liberty associated with chaos, anger and the breakdown of civil society. Permitting such authority and expecting saintly behavior from the bureaucrats and the politicians is a pipe dream. We now have a standing army of armed bureaucrats in the TSA, CIA, FBI, Fish and Wildlife, FEMA, IRS, Corp of Engineers, etc. numbering over 100,000. Citizens are guilty until proven innocent in the unconstitutional administrative courts. Government in a free society should have no authority to meddle in social activities or the economic transactions of individuals. Nor should government meddle in the affairs of other nations. December 2012 Nullification Continued from Page 2 the "rightful remedy" being "nullification" of unconstitutional laws by the states. No equivocation there. Above we see that Jefferson believed that a "silent acquiescence" to the unconstitutional Alien and Sedition acts was "highly criminal." The Kentucky legislature was dutybound to act. The states today are no less duty-bound to act to restrain FedGov from acting unconstitutionally. It is essential to liberty that people of conscience act when there are wrongs being perpetuated. Jefferson believed, as we do, that all branches of the Federal Government ("FedGov") are duty bound to follow the Constitution ("preserve, protect and defend" is the term used in federal oaths of office). but that no one branch is given, by the Constitution, any more power in that regard than any other. In the wake of Marbury v Madison, Jefferson wrote, in a letter to Abigail Adams, "... the opinion which gives to the judges the right to decide what laws are constitutional, and what not, not only for themselves in their own sphere of action, but for the Legislature and Executive also, in their spheres, would make the judiciary a despotic branch." Simply put: if the Supreme Court has the power to say what is and is not constitutional, there is no limit to the court's power (and hence, to that of FedGov). To John Cartwright Jefferson wrote in 1824, "But, you may ask, if the two departments [i.e., federal and state] should claim each the same subject of power, where is the common umpire to decide ultimately between them? In cases of little importance or urgency, the prudence of both parties will keep them aloof from the questionable ground; but if it can neither be avoided nor compromised, a convention of the States must be called to ascribe the doubtful power to that department which they may think best." Again, we see clearly that Thomas Jefferson believed that the States have the right to be the arbiters of issues of constitutionality. From James Madison's Virginia resolution: (emphasis added) That this Assembly doth explicitly and peremptorily declare, that it views the powers of the federal government, as resulting from the compact, to which the states are parties; as limited by the plain sense and intention of the instrument constituting the compact; as no further valid that they are authorized by the grants enumerated in that compact; and that in case of a deliberate, palpable, and dangerous exercise of other powers, not granted by the said compact, the states who are parties thereto, have the right, and are in duty bound, to interpose for arresting the progress of the evil, and for maintaining within their respective limits, the authorities, rights and liberties appertaining to them. ...That the General Assembly doth particularly protest against the palpable and alarming infractions of the Constitution, in the two late cases of the "Alien and Sedition Acts" passed at the last session of Congress; the first of which exercises a power no where delegated to the federal government, and which by uniting legislative and judicial powers to those of executive, subverts the general principles of free government; as well as the particular organization, and positive provisions of the federal constitution; and the other of which acts, exercises in like manner, a power not delegated by the constitution, but on the contrary, expressly and positively forbidden by one of the amendments thereto; a power, which more than any other, ought to produce universal alarm, because it is levelled against that right of freely examining public characters and measures, and of free communication among the people thereon, which has ever been justly deemed, the only effectual guardian of every other right. As you can see, the Virginia resolution went so far as to explain why the acts are unconstitutional in the one case, the law exercises powers "no where delegated to the federal government" within the Constitution and in the other, not only is the power not delegated to FedGov, it is "expressly and positively forbidden by one of the amendments" to the Constitution. Here, the reference is to the First Amendment which protects the right of free speech. These are not the only cases of states nullifying federal laws but they involve the persons of Thomas Jefferson and James Madison two men who can hardly be considered crackpots and thus lend credulity to our own efforts here at Take Back The Power. We can only marvel that no states stepped forward to nullify the McCain-Feingold act which prohibited certain political speech before elections. Though its constitutionality was challenged, the Supreme Court found it mostly constitutional. What do you suppose Jefferson would have thought of a law which prohibits advocacy groups from speaking out just before elections? The power of nullification is real and belongs to the states. That more states do not exercise it is likely simply a question of education. A great many legislators are lawyers. Lawyers are all taught "constitutional law" according to the Supreme Court in law school. They likely accept this unquestioningly. Our goal is to educate state legislators about this vastly under-used state power. Ron Paul Continued from Page 3 versial, should be permitted. We must reject the notion of prior restraint in economic activity just we do in the area of free speech and religious liberty. But even in these areas government is starting to use a backdoor approach of political correctness to regulate speecha dangerous trend. Since 9/11 monitoring speech on the internet is now a problem since warrants are no longer required. They then loan them back to us to perpetuate our debt system. Its amazing that it has worked for this long but the impasse in Washington, in solving our problems indicate that many are starting to understand the seriousness of the world -wide debt crisis and the dangers we face. The longer this process continues the harsher the outcome will be. upon themselves to use violence to get what they claim is theirs. As the economy deteriorates and the wealth discrepancies increaseas are already occurring violence increases as those in need take it in their own hands to get what they believe is theirs. They will not wait for a government rescue program. When government officials wield power over others to bail out the special interests, even with disastrous results to the average citizen, they feel no guilt for the harm they do. Those who take us into undeclared wars with many casualties resulting, never lose sleep over the death and destruction their bad decisions caused. They are convinced that what they do is morally justified, and the fact that many suffer just cant be helped. When the street criminals do the same thing, they too have no remorse, believing they are only taking what is rightfully theirs. All moral standards become relative. Whether its bailouts, privileges, government subsidies or benefits for some from inflating a currency, its all part of a process justified by a philosophy of forced redistribution of wealth. Violence, or a threat of such, is the instrument required and unfortunately is of little concern of most members of Congress. Some argue its only a matter of fairness that those in need are cared for. There are two problems with this. First, the principle is used to provide a greater amount of benefits to the rich than the poor. Second, no one seems to be concerned about whether or not its fair to those who end up paying for the benefits. The costs are usually placed on the backs of the middle class and are hidden from the public eye. Too many people believe government handouts are free, like printing money out of thin air, and there is no cost. That deception is coming to an end. The bills are coming due and thats what the economic slowdown is all about. Sadly, we have become accustomed to living with the illegitimate use of force by government. It is the tool for telling the people how to live, what to eat and drink, what to read and how to spend their money. To develop a truly free society, the issue of initiating force must be understood and rejected. Granting to government even a small amount of force is a dangerous concession. Limiting Government Excesses vs. a Virtuous Moral People Our Constitution, which was intended to limit government power and abuse, has failed. The Founders warned that a free society depends on a virtuous and moral people. The current crisis reflects that their concerns were justified. Most politicians and pundits are aware of the problems we face but spend all their time in trying to reform government. The sad part is that the suggested reforms almost always lead to less freedom and the importance of a virtuous and moral people is either ignored, or not understood. The new reforms serve only to further undermine liberty. The compounding effect has given us this steady erosion of liberty and the massive expansion of debt. The real question is: if it is liberty we seek, should most of the emphasis be placed on government reform or trying to understand what a virtuous and moral people means and how to promote it. The Constitution has not prevented the people from demanding handouts for both rich and poor in their efforts to reform the government, while ignoring the principles of a free society. All branches of our government today are controlled by individuals who use their power to undermine liberty and enhance the welfare/warfare state-and

The Texas Free Press - 4 frequently their own wealth and power. If the people are unhappy with the government performance it must be recognized that government is merely a reflection of an immoral society that rejected a moral government of constitutional limitations of power and love of freedom. If this is the problem all the tinkering with thousands of pages of new laws and regulations will do nothing to solve the problem. It is self-evident that our freedoms have been severely limited and the apparent prosperity we still have, is nothing more than leftover wealth from a previous time. This fictitious wealth based on debt and benefits from a false trust in our currency and credit, will play havoc with our society when the bills come due. This means that the full consequence of our lost liberties is yet to be felt. But that illusion is now ending. Reversing a downward spiral depends on accepting a new approach. Expect the rapidly expanding homeschooling movement to play a significant role in the revolutionary reforms needed to build a free society with Constitutional protections. We cannot expect a Federal government controlled school system to provide the intellectual ammunition to combat the dangerous growth of government that threatens our liberties. The internet will provide the alternative to the government/media complex that controls the news and most political propaganda. This is why its essential that the internet remains free of government regulation. Many of our religious institutions and secular organizations support greater dependency on the state by supporting war, welfare and corporatism and ignore the need for a virtuous people. I never believed that the world or our country could be made more free by politicians, if the people had no desire for freedom. Under the current circumstances the most we can hope to achieve in the political process is to use it as a podium to reach the people to alert them of the nature of the crisis and the importance of their need to assume responsibility for themselves, if it is liberty that they truly seek. Without this, a constitutionally protected free society is impossible. If this is true, our individual goal in life ought to be for us to seek virtue and excellence and recognize that self-esteem and happiness only comes from using ones natural ability, in the most productive manner possible, according to ones own talents. Productivity and creativity are the true source of personal satisfaction. Freedom, and not dependency, provides the environment needed to achieve these goals. Government cannot do this for us; it only gets in the way. When the government gets involved, the goal becomes a bailout or a subsidy and these cannot provide a sense of personal achievement. Achieving legislative power and political influence should not be our goal. Most of the change, if it is to come, will not come from the politicians, but rather from individuals, family, friends, intellectual leaders and our religious institutions. The solution can only come from rejecting the use of coercion, compulsion, government commands, and aggressive force, to mold social and economic behavior. Without accepting these restraints, inevitably the consensus will be to allow the government to mandate economic equality and obedience to the politicians who gain power and promote an environment that smothers the freedoms of everyone. It is then that the reSee Ron Paul Continued on Page 5

The Financial Crisis Is a Moral Crisis

Many are now acknowledging that a financial crisis looms but few understand its, in reality, a moral crisis. Its the moral crisis that has allowed our liberties to be undermined and permits the exponential growth of illegal government power. Without a clear understanding of the nature of the crisis it will be difficult to prevent a steady march toward tyranny and the poverty that will accompany it. Ultimately, the people have to decide which form of government they want; option #1 or option #2. There is no other choice. Claiming there is a choice of a little tyranny is like describing pregnancy as a touch of pregnancy. It is a myth to believe that a mixture of free markets and government central economic planning is a worthy compromise. What we see today is a result of that type of thinking. And the results speak for themselves.

The Proliferation of Federal Crimes

The Constitution established four federal crimes. Today the experts cant even agree on how many federal crimes are now on the booksthey number into the thousands. No one person can comprehend the enormity of the legal system especially the tax code. Due to the ill-advised drug war and the endless federal expansion of the criminal code we have over 6 million people under correctional suspension, more than the Soviets ever had, and more than any other nation today, including China. I dont understand the complacency of the Congress and the willingness to continue their obsession with passing more Federal laws. Mandatory sentencing laws associated with drug laws have compounded our prison problems. The federal register is now 75,000 pages long and the tax code has 72,000 pages, and expands every year. When will the people start shouting, enough is enough, and demand Congress cease and desist.

A Culture of Violence
American now suffers from a culture of violence. Its easy to reject the initiation of violence against ones neighbor but its ironic that the people arbitrarily and freely anoint government officials with monopoly power to initiate violence against the American peoplepractically at will. Because its the government that initiates force, most people accept it as being legitimate. Those who exert the force have no sense of guilt. It is believed by too many that governments are morally justified in initiating force supposedly to do good. They incorrectly believe that this authority has come from the consent of the people. The minority, or victims of government violence never consented to suffer the abuse of government mandates, even when dictated by the majority. Victims of TSA excesses never consented to this abuse. This attitude has given us a policy of initiating war to do good, as well. It is claimed that war, to prevent war for noble purposes, is justified. This is similar to what we were once told that: destroying a village to save a village was justified. It was said by a US Secretary of State that the loss of 500,000 Iraqis, mostly children, in the 1990s, as a result of American bombs and sanctions, was worth it to achieve the good we brought to the Iraqi people. And look at the mess that Iraq is in today. Government use of force to mold social and economic behavior at home and abroad has justified individuals using force on their own terms. The fact that violence by government is seen as morally justified, is the reason why violence will increase when the big financial crisis hits and becomes a political crisis as well. First, we recognize that individuals shouldnt initiate violence, then we give the authority to government. Eventually, the immoral use of government violence, when things goes badly, will be used to justify an individuals right to do the same thing. Neither the government nor individuals have the moral right to initiate violence against another yet we are moving toward the day when both will claim this authority. If this cycle is not reversed society will break down. When needs are pressing, conditions deteriorate and rights become relative to the demands and the whims of the majority. Its then not a great leap for individuals to take it

Achieving Liberty
Liberty can only be achieved when government is denied the aggressive use of force. If one seeks liberty, a precise type of government is needed. To achieve it, more than lip service is required. Two choices are available. A government designed to protect libertya natural rightas its sole objective. The people are expected to care for themselves and reject the use of any force for interfering with another persons liberty. Government is given a strictly limited authority to enforce contracts, property ownership, settle disputes, and defend against foreign aggression. A government that pretends to protect liberty but is granted power to arbitrarily use force over the people and foreign nations. Though the grant of power many times is meant to be small and limited, it inevitably metastasizes into an omnipotent political cancer. This is the problem for which the world has suffered throughout the ages. Though meant to be limited it nevertheless is a 100% sacrifice of a principle that would-betyrants find irresistible. It is used vigorouslythough incrementally and insidiously. Granting power to government officials always proves the adage that: power corrupts. Once government gets a limited concession for the use of force to mold people habits and plan the economy, it causes a steady move toward tyrannical government. Only a revolutionary spirit can reverse the process and deny to the government this arbitrary use of aggression. Theres no in-between. Sacrificing a little liberty for imaginary safety always ends badly. Todays mess is a result of Americans accepting option #2, even though the Founders attempted to give us Option #1. The results are not good. As our liberties have been eroded our wealth has been consumed. The wealth we see today is based on debt and a foolish willingness on the part of foreigners to take our dollars for goods and services.

Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny.

Conclusion
What are the greatest dangers that the American people face today and impede the goal of a free society? There are five. 1. The continuous attack on our civil liberties which threatens the rule of law and our ability to resist the onrush of tyranny. 2. Violent anti-Americanism that has engulfed the world. Because the phenomenon of blow-back is not understood or denied, our foreign policy is destined to keep us involved in many wars that we have no business being in. National bankruptcy and a greater threat to our national security will result. 3. The ease in which we go to war, without a declaration by Congress, but accepting international authority from the UN or NATO even for preemptive wars, otherwise known as aggression. 4. A financial political crisis as a consequence of excessive debt, unfunded liabilities, spending, bailouts, and gross discrepancy in wealth distribution going from the middle class to the rich. The danger of central economic planning, by the Federal Reserve must be understood. 5. World government taking over local and US sovereignty by getting involved in the issues of war, welfare, trade, banking, a world currency, taxes, property ownership, and private ownership of guns. Happily, there is an answer for these very dangerous trends. What a wonderful world it would be if everyone accepted the simple moral premise of rejecting all acts of aggression. The retort to such a suggestion is always: its too simplistic, too idealistic, impractical, nave, utopian, dangerous, and unrealistic to strive for such an ideal. The answer to that is that for thousands of years the acceptance of government force, to rule over the people, at the sacrifice of liberty, was considered moral and the only available option for achieving peace and prosperity. What could be more utopian than that mythconsidering the results especially looking at the state sponsored killing, by nearly every government during the 20th Century, estimated to be in the hundreds of millions. Its time to reconsider this grant of authority to the state. No good has ever come from granting monopoly power to the state to use aggression against the people to arbitrarily mold human behavior. Such power, when left unchecked, becomes the seed of an ugly tyranny. This method of governance has been adequately tested, and the results are in: reality dictates we try liberty. The idealism of non-aggression and rejecting all offensive use of force should be tried. The idealism of government sanctioned violence has been abused throughout history and is the primary source of poverty and war. The theory of a society being based on individual freedom has been around for a long time. Its time to take a bold step and actually permit it by advancing this cause, rather than taking a step backwards as some would like us to do. Today the principle of habeas corpus, established when King John signed the Magna Carta in 1215, is under attack. Theres every reason to believe that a renewed effort with the use of the internet that we can instead advance the cause of liberty by spreading an uncensored message that

They voted for Santa Claus.
Ive met a lot of losers in my lifetime, especially over the last fifteen years or so.. They all have characteristics in common. These losers are sometimes offered work, but they always have an excuse to refuse to work. When they do show up to do a casual job, for which they insist on being paid in cash, they head straight to the local convenience store to buy beer and high-priced cigarettes rather than to buy oil and gas for their only means of transportation. (After all, drugs come first!) I cannot understand someone who lives on disability payments from the government yet is in good enough physical condition to mow a yard or gather aluminimum cans to turn in for cash. Often these are people spend their food stamps on Cokes, chips and dip and other unhealthy foods. I cannot understand why anyone who is capable of working cannot figure out a way to get to work. These are people who will not be prepared when the collapse of the economy occurs. These are the people who will either come begging at your door or attempt to rob you for food when that time comes. They have no more than a two days worth of food, no cash, no checking accounts, no credit cards, and they will be desperate. These are people who, if they voted at all, voted for Obama. As Rush Limbaugh so aptly put it, they voted for Santa Claus. I was never a fan of either Obama or Romney, but I really never dreamed that Obama would be re-elected. I simply could not fathom the idea that so many Americans could be that stupid. I have always dubbed Democrats as the party of Me-me-me! Whats in it for me? Yet those who voted for Obama do not seem to grasp that he is not on their side. He is on the side of the banksters and fascist/socialist/corporatism. They do not seem to realize that they are going to be the first to end up in the FEMA internment camps, the first to be denied medical care, the first to be a part of the eugenics plan to reduce the population in America. The NWO is not planning to get rid of smart people first; they plan to get rid of the parasites first, then the old people and then make serfs of whoever is left. Dissidents will be sent to mental institutions for reprogramming. Obama has no need any longer to give out Obama-phones or more and more food stamps. He has duped and dumbed-down stupid Americans into a second term so that he can complete his agenda rapidly to transform America. He is their perceived version of Santa Claus. So, to all you Obama voters, How you gonna like your digs in a FEMA camp? How you gonna like waiting for six months to get an appointment to see a doctor? How you gonna like it when the price of food or gas goes so high you cannot afford to eat anything but plastic food and cannot afford to buy gasoline to get work (just in case you actually get a job)? Did ya know your free Obama-phone probably has a device in it to track you everywhere you go at all times? The day after the election I watched various Youtube interviews of Democrats at DNC meeting places being asked why they voted for Obama. The smartest of these people parroted phrases they had heard on Main Stream Media outlets, network TV and various cable/satellite news outlets. Many of them cited that Obama was really presidential in response to Hurricane Sandy. Oh? I guess I missed that. I guess he seemed on the ball because he gave up a golf game? Or postponed visiting Las Vegas? One of the Obama supporters was asked what she See Santa Claus Continued on Page 8

will serve to rein in government authority and challenge the obsession with war and welfare. What Im talking about is a system of government guided by the moral principles of peace and tolerance. The Founders were convinced that a free society could not exist without a moral people. Just writing rules wont work if the people choose to ignore them. Today the rule of law written in the Constitution has little meaning for most Americans, especially those who work in Washington DC. Benjamin Franklin claimed only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. John Adams concurred: Our Constitution was made for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other. A moral people must reject all violence in an effort to mold peoples beliefs or habits. A society that boos or ridicules the Golden Rule is not a moral society. All great religions endorse the Golden Rule. The same moral standards that individuals are required to follow should apply to all government officials. They cannot be exempt. The ultimate solution is not in the hands of the government. The solution falls on each and every individual, with guidance from family, friends and community. The #1 responsibility for each of us is to change ourselves with hope that others will follow. This is of greater importance than working on changing the government; that is secondary to promoting a virtuous society. If we can achieve this, then the government will change. It doesnt mean that political action or holding office has no value. At times it does nudge policy in the right direction. But what is true is that when seeking office is done for personal aggrandizement, money or power, it becomes useless if not harmful. When political action is taken for the right reasons its easy to understand why compromise should be avoided. It also becomes clear why progress is best achieved by working with coalitions, which bring people together, without anyone sacrificing his principles. Political action, to be truly beneficial, must be directed toward changing the hearts and minds of the people, recognizing that its the virtue and morality of the people that allow liberty to flourish. The Constitution or more laws per se, have no value if the peoples attitudes arent changed. To achieve liberty and peace, two powerful human emotions have to be overcome. Number one is envy which leads to hate and class warfare. Number two is intolerance which leads to bigoted and judgmental policies. These emotions must be replaced with a much better understanding of love, compassion, tolerance and free market economics. Freedom, when understood, brings people together. When tried, freedom is popular. The problem we have faced over the years has been that economic interventionists are swayed by envy, whereas social interventionists are swayed by intolerance of habits and lifestyles. The misunderstanding that tolerance is an endorsement of certain activities, motivates many to legislate moral standards which should only be set by individuals making their own choices. Both sides use force to deal with these misplaced emotions. Both are authoritarians. Neither endorses voluntarism. Both views ought to be rejected. I have come to one firm conviction after these many years of trying to figure out the plain truth of things. The best chance for achieving peace and prosperity, for the maximum number of people world-wide, is to pursue the cause of LIBERTY. If you find this to be a worthwhile message, spread it throughout the land.

December 2012 Agenda 21 Continued from Page 2 substantial flow of new and additional resources to developing countries. By shifting resources, Strong wishes to have industrialized nations collapse. Deindustrialization can also be achieved by limiting production by taxing pollution, particularly carbon, the planets greatest threat. Principal number sixteen sets out to implement a carbon tax trading scheme where any action with a carbon footprint will not be allowed unless payment is received for such an activity that is deemed unsustainable. Besides calling for the collapse of industrialized nations and claiming the obligation to do so, Strong continued with his rhetoric at the conference, Current lifestyles and consumption patterns of the affluent middle class-involving high meat intake, the use of fossil fuels, electrical appliances, home and work place air conditioning, and suburban housing-are not sustainable. The 1993 blueprint for saving the world is covers all human activity and lays the ground work for sustainability in areas including, trade, production, housing, education, development, zoning, planning, taxes, food, and land, just to name a few. The idea behind sustainable development-development that does not destroy or undermine the ecological, economic, or social basis on which continued development dependsconcern for our environment that the People will readily accept and support sustainability. Preserving for our posterity is of the utmost importance; however, those that recognize and attempt to manipulate the power of conviction have begun to broaden the definition of unsustainable for the sole purpose of complete control of humanity. Using sheeps clothing, a cabal has infiltrated many environmental organizations that, on the outside are well-meaning, are in fact, financed by the likes of the infamous Rockefellers and many other self-admitted globalist pursing a one world government. For this reason, and many others, the conspiracy theory of the United Nations to attempt to enslave humanity, exists. Linking the absurdity of global enslavement under the guise of sustainability and its enforcement may seem like a far stretch; well, I beg to differ. For instance, if eating steak in your suburban-airconditioned home is unsustainable, and the goal of Agenda 21 is to eliminate unsustainable practices to save the Earth; then where does individual Freedom and Liberty factor into sustainability under Agenda 21? If the use of the precautionary principle (principle number fifteen: In order to protect the environment, the precautionary approach shall be widely applied by States according to their capabilities. Where there are threats of serious or irreversible damage, lack of full scientific certainty shall not be used as a reason for postponing cost- effective measures to prevent environmental degradation.) may be used to eliminate the use of a fishing pond, waterhole, or a mountain for skiing; then what are the options to obtain optimal sustainability for a Free People? There are no options because no such scenario exists where sustainability can be achieved while preserving our unalienable Rights. Another underlying agenda behind the UN action plan to achieve complete control is to eliminate land rights, thus removing the one of many unalienable rights. Using the precautionary approach allows local organizations funded and directed by non-governmental organizations (NGO) to lobby to restrict the land owner to utilize their land as they see fit; or worse use eminent domain to acquire land that was not bought by just compensation, and then sold to developers who utilize sustainable development practices to turn a profit. Acquiring an objective and broad perspective on Agenda 21 is the key to completely understanding and acknowledging a nefarious plan to take over the world and enslave humanity. Delving into the history of Agenda 21, its key players and advocates and the ideology behind them, the techniques used to build a consensus and manipulate the People to willingly sign-up for voluntary servitude, will help us achieve a better understanding of the cabals plan. One Advocate and the Ideology behind the Movement Throughout your search of the Truth behind Agenda 21, one advocate will appear repeatedly and may even be referred to as the father of the sustainable development movement. The father of the movement is none other than the man that welcomed the over 18,000 attendees of the Earth Summit, Maurice Strong. The biography of Maurice Strong is quite interesting and a bit ironic being that he is seen as the father of Agenda 21. If you type Maurice Strong into a search engine you will come across many websites with information about Strong; and I encourage you click on as many links as possible in your endeavor of the Truth. Besides the controversial website Wikipedia, I have chosen to utilize the website mauricestrong.net as a reference for much of Strongs background. The website mauricestrong.net was established by the Manitou Foundation, an NGO that provides land grants and some financial support in Crestone/Baca, Colorado, to qualified religious and spiritual projects, ecological and environmental sustainability projects, and related educational endeavors (youth and adult)... The Manitou Foundation was founded on behalf of the efforts of Strong, thus leaving the foundation to dedicate time to draft a short biography on the father of sustainable development. Maurice Strong was a child raised in a poor Canadian family during the Great Depression. According to the website, Strong realized the hardships of poverty and ironically saw the economic boom from World War II as the answer for an ailing economy. Already, the idea of creation out of destruction has been formed in the mind of an impressionable bright soul. It was with the efforts of his socialist school principal that Strong acquired a socialist perspective and helped Strong finish high school and purse a higher education by the age of fourteen. As a teenager during his stowaway days, Strong overheard the statement by Winston Churchill and Franklin Roosevelt where they both agreed that a united nations agreement was needed to achieve world peace. After hearing these statements Strong was struck with the overwhelming self-proclaimed proclamation that it was his obligation to play part in the pursuit of world peace. At the age of eighteen Strong was introduced to the husband of an heiress from oil. Through this network Strong was able to acquire the low level position of a junior security officer at the newly established United Nations institution then located in Lake Success, New York. It is alleged that it was during this time that Strong was introduced to David Rockefeller, a well-known member of the global elite hell-bent on achieving a world government. Strongs vision for his purpose in life is codified after his short stint at the UN and so begins his relentless endeavor to save the world as he sees fit. After leaving the UN, Strong succeeded as a business man by acquiring the role of Vice President of Dome Petroleum from a mere assistant position. Apparently it was through Strongs success as a man in the energy resource business that he realized the need for an evaluation of the consumption of the worlds resources and the impact of acquiring and processing said resources plays on the environment inhabited by mankind. After abruptly leaving the oil industry to travel abroad, specifically in Africa, Strong was introduced to the YMCA organization circa 1950. After returning to Canada and Dome Petroleum in 1954, Strong volunteered with the YMCA by serving as chairman and president of its World Service Program of the Extension and Intermovement Aid of the World Alliance of YMCAs. It was through this work that Strong garnered the attention of one of Canadas top investment corporations and was appointed Executive President of Power Corporation; after breathing life into a failing energy company after his return to his homeland. Floating in the field of irony is the fact that through Strongs success in the oil industry he was invited to become the Deputy Minister for the former External Aid to Canada. Out of the External Aid division came the Canadian Internal Development Agency, and it was through Strongs role with this Canadian agency that he was able to achieve his goal of working with the United Nations. In 1972 Strong was invited by then Swedish UN Secretary-General U Thant to take the role of UN Secretary-General of the Conference held in Stockholm; also known as the Conference on the Human Environment. It was here that the issues seen as the most pertinent to mankinds survival coupled with sustainable practices for the sake of preserving resources for future generations was addressed; led by Maurice Strong, the up-andcoming father of sustainable development. Not only did the year 1972 see the conference held in Stockholm, it also bears witness to the creation of the United Nations Environmental Programme, which Strong was appointed to lead the newly created entity. The slow, stealthy, and incremental processes known as the burden of bureaucracy eventually led to the UN commissioning a committee in 1982 to analyze and evaluate mans activity and his impact on the planet as a result of consumerism. Since consumerism is based on the selling of products that are produced and manufactured, and manufacturing produces waste and pollution; then something must be done by the experts to help humanity save itself from itself. Surely there are those that we can invest blindfaith into and buy the paradigm that the situation is too complicated and better left to the consensus of the experts; right? It is, in fact, a way to preserve for future generations while meeting the needs of the present generation; is it not? The commission, led by former Norway Prime Minister of Norway and Vice President of the Worlds Socialist Party (WSP), Gro Brundtland was tasked to evaluate how the world could protect itself against poverty, the newly created threat to mankind and global warming via the abuse of resources. It is imperative to note that the WSP wishes to abolish private property rights and replace capitalism with the redistribution of wealth, socialism. Along with Brundtland, Strong played a significant role in authoring Our Common Future, also known as the Brundtland report which was released in 1987 to the UN. The report covered the extensive analysis of the role that mans activity played part in the destruction of our planet Earth through unsustainable actions. As a result of the Brundtland report, action was called for and codified into the 1992 Rio Declaration, led by Strong during the Earth Summit. It took nearly five years for the UN to assimilate a conference based off the Brundtland report. In 1992, a conference was held in Rio de Janiero, Brazil, to address the concerns facing the Earths current occupants, in general, Homo sapiens. Throughout Strongs quest to launch his renowned ideals based on his experience in the energy and resource business, Strong came to the conclusion that Human beings are a cancer upon this upon this Earth; thus, population must be strictly controlled and regulated. The wake of Strongs effort can be felt in practically every single county in the United States of America; however, the deception that lies underneath Agenda 21 has propelled the idea of sustainability as a tool of empowerment for mankind. This could not be further from the truth. Although sustainable practices can benefit mankind, by infiltrating the environmental movement and expanding the definition of unsustainable, control of all actions can be acquired via a consensus derived from the precautionary principal. This is the base for advocates of sustainable development, and through the convoluted and perverted altering of the word that can they acquire the power to execute their agenda. If the agenda presented at the 1992 Earth Summit is based off of the 1972 Stockholm Conference on the Human Environment and the resulting 1987 report Our Common Future, which were authored by a self-proclaimed Socialist who is determined to eliminate capitalism and another who has seen the destruction of devel-

Limiting a country to a certain amount of production, based on an environmental analysis with the inclusion of the precautionary principle; can and will dramatically affect trade among nations and will exacerbate future debt problems with the shifting of resources. During the early 1980s Strong purchased at least 200,000 acres in Colorado and proceeded to set up the American Water Development Incorporated (AWDI). From the get go, the purchase of the land is quite shady when we learn who the seller was. Adnan Khashoggi, convicted arms dealer with alleged connections with Osama bin Laden, apparently sold the Baca Ranch, located in Colorado, to Strong. Through this purchase Strong set out to blockade a major aquifer which supplied water to thousands west of Colorado. Grassroots environmentalist succeeded in the defeat of Strong and the ADWI attempting to control an essential resource. Essentially, humble environmentalists put a hold on Strongs attempted and unlawful control of water. This is important as a reference in the sense that the father of sustainable practices and the spearhead of curtailing unsustainable actions was defeated when he attempted to profit from an essential resource. The so-called revered father of the sustainable development movement failed by the efforts of True advocates for the preservation of mans resources; the annihilation is evidence of a movement that was successful against tyranny. Although Strong fills the role of the father of Agenda 21, many other players hold key positions for the influence and implementation of the agenda for the 21st century. After reading the action plan that was derived from the Brundtland report; one can conclude that a conspiracy does exist; that there is a cabal of an elite whom wish to take advantage of the conviction that man will sacrifice their Liberty to save the planet. Connecting the dots for the implementation of a one world government ruled by a dictator is easy to recognize when you have as many pieces of the puzzle necessary to form a picture. Building on the principle of Truth, your quest, is by no means, limited to the information compiled in this series. The search for Truth will lead you down many avenues; however, it is up to you to decide which roads should be taken. With your pursuit of the truth, you may be ridiculed, ignored, and/or worse, hated and condemned; but do not allow those facts to detour you in your pursuit for truth. Keep on going!

December 2012 Santa Clause Continued from Page 5 and ammo, you are a potential terrorist. (What person living a long distance from a grocery store does not have several weeks of food in reserve? Huh? What person in his/her right mind doesnt own at least one gun for self-defense?) If you are a veteran, you are a potential terrorist. (So, I signed up voluntarily for military service, knowing I could lose my life in defense of this country, and now I am a potential terrorist? Give me a break!) If you supported a non-mainstream candidate such as Ron Paul or Gary Johnson, you are a potential terrorist. (Uh-oh!) I guess that makes most of us who seek such things as liberty, freedom and a constitutional government potential terrorists. Unfortunately most of the sheeple buy into the garbage of giving up all sorts of freedom and liberty in the name of safety and security. How do these people sleep at night? Do they think there is a terrorist in their closet? Under the bed? Around the corner? Waiting for them at Walmart? Waiting for them on the side of the street? Frankly, I am far more concerned about hungry people who are out of food because they did not lay in a stock of food than I am about any terrorists. I am far more concerned about illegal aliens than about any Muslim terrorist coming after me.. I am far more concerned about the U S. Government curtailing my civil rights than I am about a terrorist knocking on my door. I am far more worried about the men in black suits with badges and guns than any alleged Muslim terrorist with bombs in their panties or shoes. I am far more concerned about men in blue U.N. berets knocking on my door to confiscate my guns than I am in a foreign aligned terrorist. Are you going to give up your guns? Are you going to acquiesce to Global Gov or The New World Order or Obamas constant barrages on our true and natural rights? Its time to draw a line in the sand and stay on one side for Fantasy Santa Claus or step over for freedom, liberty and property rights, freedom from government surveillance and intervention in our daily lives. Its time to draw a line against tyranny. There are many who will say, Well, we tried, and then just go about living their usual lives, not paying attention to what is really going on the world. This is exactly the wrong attitude to have. If you really want America to become again the country it once was, turn off the TV, talk to people, educate people and be constantly vigilant about what the government is doing to you. Be prepared for tough times ahead. Establish your own personal sovereignty and know what your personal limitations are. Muslim terrorists are not under your bed, but a U.S. government agent or drone might be.

thought about the fact that both Obama and Romney supported The Patriot Act and NDAA. She had never heard of either one of them. I heard not one good reason why any of them voted for Obama. I began to see that most of these people voted for completely illogical reasons, mostly based on emotions. Would Romney be any better? Most of the rest of the sheeple voted for Romney. They somehow believed a) that he was a business man and b) that government is a business, and that therefore c) he would be good at running the government and improving the economy. Unfortunately both a) and b) are false premises, so the conclusion is therefore false. Probably all that would have happened if Romney had won would be that a) the stock market would have ticked up temporarily instead of down, and b) there would be some sort of hope of repeal of Obamacare so that businesses would be more hopeful rather than being forced to layoff employees or close their doors altogehter. It might have delayed the upcoming collapse of the economy and the institution of the New World Order. Right now, the Department of Homeland Security considers all of us who have more than a few days of food stashed or an organic garden as potential terrorists. If you have guns

Aesops Fables The Fisher

A Fisher once took his bagpipes to the bank of a river, and played upon them with the hope of making the fish rise; but never a one put his nose out of the water. So he cast his net into the river and soon drew it forth filled with fish. Then he took his bagpipes again, and, as he played, the fish leapt up in the net. "Ah, you dance now when I play," said he. "Yes," said an old Fish: "When you are in a man's power you must do as he bids you."

If we get rid of them, we shall fall into the hands of unskillful operators, and thus suffer a double death: for you may be assured, that though all the Butchers should perish, yet will men never want beef." Moral: Do not be in a hurry to change one evil for another.

The Quack Frog

A FROG once upon a time came forth from his home in the marsh and proclaimed to all the beasts that he was a learned physician, skilled in the use of drugs and able to heal all diseases. A Fox asked him, "How can you pretend to prescribe for others, when you are unable to heal your own lame gait and wrinkled skin?'

Solution to This Months Crossword Technical Support for Men This is one of the long funny stories that will give a few minutes of humorous time. applications. I am thinking about going back to Girlfriend 7.0, but the uninstall does not work on this program. friend 7.0 to emulate Wife 1.0 so nothing is gained. It is impossible to uninstall, delete, or purge the program files from the system once installed. You cannot go back to Girlfriend 7.0 because Wife 1.0 is not designed to do this. Some have tried to install Girlfriend 8.0 or Wife 2.0 but end up with more problems than the original system. [Look in your manual under "Warnings-Alimony/Child Support".] I recommend you keep Wife 1.0 and just deal with the situation. I suggest installing background application program C:\YES DEAR to alleviate software augmentation. Having Wife 1.0 installed myself, I might also suggest you read the entire section regarding General Partnership Faults (GPFs). You must assume all responsibility for faults and problems that might occur, regardless of their cause. The best course of action will be to enter the command APOLOGIZE. In any case avoid excessive use of YES DEAR because ultimately you will have to give the APOLOGIZE command before the rating system will return to normal. The system will run smoothly as long as you take the blame for all the GPFs. Wife 1.0 is a great program, but very high maintenance. Consider buying additional software to improve the performance of Wife 1.0.I recommend Flowers 2.1 and Diamonds 5.0. DO NOT, under any circumstances, install Secretary With Short Skirt 3.3. This is not a supported application for Wife 1.0 and is likely to cause irreversible damage to the operating system. Best of luck, Tech Support

Everything They Ever Told Me Was a Lie. T

hats actually the name of a blockbuster new book published by AMERICAN FREE PRESS (AFP) newspaper in Washington, D.C. and authored by longtime investigative reporter Pat Shannan. Is the author a kook or does he know something we dont? Truth is, most Americans believe that their nightly news is presented without spin by trustworthy reporters solely for the benefit of viewers. But in acuality, nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, all of the major mainstream news corporationsABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CNN, Newsweek, USA Today etc etcare owned, operated and funded by a select handful of super-rich families and tightly knit financial interestsa plutocratic elitethat controls 100% of the big media conglomerates in America today. These mainstream news providers censor content so they wont offend advertisers; they omit news that could negatively impact their own profits; and they routinely spin the news the way that U.S. administrations and pressure groups demand that it be spun. But not at AMERICAN FREE PRESS. AMERICAN FREE PRESS is Americas ONLY uncensored national weekly newspaper. We are not beholden to greedy advertisers or big corporate interests. AFP is independently owned by its own employees. No hidden benefactors foreign or domestictell us what to print and what not to print or what subjects we can and cant talk about. Everything They Ever Told Me Was a Lie

ccording to author Pat Shannan, you simply cant trust our elected officials or the news media to tell the truth. Theres always something they want to hide from the American public. But is EVERYTHING they tell you a lie, carefully crafted for the benefit of the power elite? Pat Shannan would emphatically say yes. The authors first shocker came in college. Of that time he spent in those columned halls of higher education he says: As a lifelong truthseeker, I never returned to the college classroom because much of what I found there was at the very least based upon a lie and sometimes a total fabrication from its outset. The whole education industry is designed not to inspire learning and instill wisdom, but to program young men and women to conform to government regulation and conventional wisdom. For Shannan, no subject is off limits. In the book Pat takes a look at the mainstream cover stories for some of the biggest events of the 20th century, and then provides us with the REAL STORY. Shannan examines these topics and more in the book: the censored history of debt-free money; the unverifiable past of Barack Obama; the real legacy of FDR; George H.W. Bushs connection to the would-be assassin of Ronald Reagan; the forces working with the OKC bombers; LBJs shocking admission to his mistress; how they framed James Earl Ray and Lee Harvey Oswaldand killed Vince Foster; the murder of former football star-turned U.S. soldier Pat Tillman; the inexplicable anomalies in the official RFK assassination investigation and many, many more. Everything They Ever Told Me Was a Lie (softcover, 275 pages, $25 plus $4 S&H inside the U.S.) is available from AFP, 645 Pennsylvania Avenue SE, #100, Dept. TFP112, Washington, D.C. 20003. Delicious Low Carb Desserts

With the holidays upon us, many of us do more entertaining, and a big part of that enteraining involves food, often sweets. Those who follow any kind of low carbohydrate lifestyle cannot indulge in most of these sweets because of the large amount of sugar they contain and often large amounts of wheat flour. What follows are some very simple recipes for low-carbohydrate delicious sweet desserts:

Vanilla Greek Yogurt with Chopped Pecans (Yogurt Cheese)

Requires advance preparation. You will need a cone shaped coffee filter and a funnel. Paper towels shaped into a funnel could possibly substitite for cone-shaped coffee filter. Makes four servings Ingredients: 1 quart full-fat yogurt. 1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans. Either: 1/2 teas of vanilla plus liquid stevia to taste OR a Tbs. of DaVinci vanilla syrup (which is sweetend with Splenda) Directions: 1) Make Greek Yogurt (often called yogurt cheese) by placing your filter inside the funnel and placing the funnel over a pint-size jar. Fill the filter/funnel nearly to the top with yogurt. Refrigerate. The whey from the yogurt will drain into the jar, and the amount of solids in the funnel will be reduced. Fill it back up with yogurt. Repeat until yogurt container is empty. Let sit for another eight hours or so until whey quits draining into jar. Now you have Greek Yogurt. Give the whey to your an imals or discard it. 2) Mix the Greek yogurt with the pecans, vanilla and sweetener (or DaVinci syrup). Note: Greek yogurt is lower in carbohydrate than regular fullfat yogurt. Nevertheless, if you are on a super low-carb regimin, consider 1/4 of this recipe as one serving. Its really easy to pig out on this stuff.
