Daily Prayers

Angel of Peace at Fatima:

Take and drink the body and blood of Jesus Christ, horribly outraged by ungrateful men. Make reparation for their crimes and console your God.
The Golden Arrow Prayer In Reparation For Blasphemy:

May the most holy, most sacred, most adorable, most incomprehensible and ineffable name of God be always praised, blessed, loved, adored and Glorified, in heaven, on earth and under the Earth, by all the creatures of God, and by the sacred heart of our Lord Jesus Christ, in the most Holy Sacrament of the altar.

Trust Him Trust Him---when dark days assail You,Trust Him----when your faith is small, Trust Him---when to simply trust Him, is the hardest thing of all. "The flame of Light from your home altar reaches way up to the altar in Heaven."

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and shall ever be, world without end. Amen. Glory be, etc.

Prayer for the dying Most merciful Jesus, lover of souls, I pray you by the agony of your most sacred heart, and by the sorrows of your Immaculate mother, to wash in your most Precious Blood the sinners of the world who are now in their agony, and who will die today. Heart of Jesus, once in agony, have mercy on the dying. Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, I give you my heart and my soul. Assist me in my last agony, and grant that I may breath forth my soul in peace with you. Amen.
THE ANIMA CHRISTI The Anima Christi is a prayer from around the 14th century. It is still widely used after receiving the body and blood of Our Lord, Jesus Christ in Holy Communion.

Soul of Christ, sanctify me Body of Christ, save me Blood of Christ, inebriate me Water from Christs side, wash me Passion of Christ, strengthen me O good Jesus, hear me Within Thy wounds hide me Suffer me not to be separated from Thee From the malicious enemy defend me In the hour of my death call me And bid me come unto Thee That I may praise Thee with Thy saints and with Thy angels Forever and ever Amen

Lo, there He hangs,

Dying figure pinned against the wood. God, grant that I might love Him even as I should. I draw a little closer to share His love divine, and I softly hear Him whisper, Oh foolish child of mine, if now I should embrace you, My hands would stain you red, and if I bent to kiss you, My thorns would pierce your head. Twas then I learned in meekness That Love demands a price; Twas then I knew that sorrow was just The Kiss of Christ.

In summary, devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus is nothing more than giving thanks, praise, adoration toward our loving Savior, and meditating on His passion which shows us how much He loved us. His hope is that we will respond by loving Him. One way we show our love for Him in a concrete way is by loving others and treating others with patience, kindness, and forgiveness. This is because He says: 1 John 4:20

Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

The love of Jesus Christ ought to be the focus of every Christian. We will never be formed in the image of the Lord, nor even desire to be formed in His image, if we do not meditate upon the love which Jesus Christ has shown us Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus means to take time every Friday, to remember the love Jesus has for us by reflecting on his passion and death and through other meditations, litanies, and prayers that focus on his love and mercy. Lack of devotion to the Sacred Heart is a reason for frequent relapses into serious sin by Catholics. This is because people forget about how much Jesus loves them, and therefore they are not sufficiently encouraged to acquire the love of Jesus, which is the golden cord which unites and binds the soul to God. The Father will love us in the same proportion as we love Jesus Christ.

If anyone says, I love God, and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.

It is related in the life of Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque, a nun of the Visitation Order, that our Savior revealed to her His wish that Devotion to His Sacred Heart and a Feast Day honoring His Sacred Heart should be established and propagated in the Church. In this way, devout believers would, by their adoration and prayer, make reparation for the injuries His Heart constantly receives from ungrateful humanity when He is exposed in the Blessed Sacrament of the altar. It is also related that while this devout nun was praying before the Blessed Sacrament, Jesus Christ showed her His Heart surrounded by thorns, with a cross on the top, and in a throne of flames. "Behold the Heart," she reports that Jesus spoke to her, "that has loved humanity, and has spared nothing for them, even to consuming itself to give them pledges of Its love, but which receives from the majority of people, no other return but ingratitude, and insults toward the Blessed Sacrament, the body, blood, soul and divinity of Jesus. His love was so great that he wanted to remain with us until the end of time. He chose the Eucharist as the way to be present just as much as He was to His own apostles.
I saw a great radiance, in the midst of it, God the Father. Between this radiance and the earth I saw Jesus, nailed to the Cross and in such a way that when God wanted to look at the earth, He had to look through the wounds of Jesus. And I understood that it was for the sake of Jesus that God blesses the earth.
Jesus said later to Sister Faustina: Say unceasingly this chaplet that I have taught you. Whoever

will recite it will receive great Mercy at the hour of death. Priests will recommend it to sinners as their last hope of salvation. Even if there were a sinner most hardened, if he were to recite this Chaplet only once, he would receive grace from My Infinite Mercy. I desire that the whole world know My Infinite Mercy. I desire to grant unimaginable graces to those who trust in My Mercy. (Diary 687).When they say this Chaplet in the presence of the dying, I will stand between My Father and the dying person not as the just judge but as the Merciful Savior.

The Miracle Prayer Lord Jesus, I come before Thee, just as I am, I am sorry for my sins, I repent of my sins, please forgive me. In Thy Name, I forgive all others for what they have done against me. I renounce Satan, the evil spirits and all their works. I give Thee my entire self, Lord Jesus, I accept Thee as my Lord, God and Savior. Heal me, change me, strengthen me in body, soul, and spirit. Come Lord Jesus, cover me with Thy Precious Blood, and fill me with Thy Holy Spirit, I love Thee Lord Jesus, I praise Thee Lord Jesus, I thank Thee Jesus, I shall follow Thee every day of my life. Amen. Mary, My Mother, Queen of Peace, and all the Holy Angels and Saints, please help me. Amen.

My Jesus, by the sorrows Thou didst suffer in Thine agony in the Garden, in Thy scourging and crowning with thorns, in the way to Calvary, in Thy crucifixion and death, have mercy on the souls in purgatory, and especially on those that are most forsaken; do Thou deliver them from the dire torments they endure; call them and admit them to Thy most sweet embrace in paradise. Our Lord dictated the following prayer to St. Gertrude the Great to release 1,000 Souls from Purgatory each time it is said. Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen. St. Gertrudes life was the mystic life of the Cloister a Benedictine nun. She meditated on the Passion of Christ, which many times brought a flood of tears to her eyes. She did many penances and Our Lord appeared to her many times. She had a tender love for the Blessed Virgin and was very devoted to the suffering souls in Purgatory. She died in 1334. Her feast day is November 16th.

My mission-to make God loved-will begin after my death. I will spend my heaven doing good on earth. I will send a shower of roses.

God wills that all His gifts should come to us through Mary. St. Bernard

The purpose of the Devotion of the Seven Sorrows is to promote union with the sufferings of Christ through union with the special suffering that Our Lady endured because she was the Mother of God. By uniting ourselves with both the Passion of Christ and His holy Mother, we enter into Jesus Heart and honor Him greatly; He is more honored because we have so honored His Mother. The Seven Dolors are taken from Scripture events and the devotion has a long history, although it was not officially promulgated by the Church until the early nineteenth century. Before Pope Pius VIIs formal approval, the Servite Order had permission in 1668 to celebrate the Feast of the Seven Dolors because the Order was instrumental in popularizing the Seven Sorrows Devotion. In the Middle Ages, Catholic theology concentrated mostly on Christs Passion; at the side of the Man of Sorrows, however, the faithful always contemplated the Queen of Martyrs. Devotion to the Crucified Christ and to Our Lady of sorrows grew side by side. Christ immolated His flesh, Mary, her heart, her own soul. On September 15, the day following the ancient feast of the Holy Cross, the Church commemorates the compassion of Mary; but it is fitting during the year, especially during Lent, to honor the Sorrows of Mary. Devotion to the Sorrows of Mary has always been a favorite devotion among Catholics. It has been sanctioned by the Church and introduced into the Missal and Breviary. In order to keep before our minds the inexpressible sufferings endured for us by the Mother of God while she lived here on earth with her Divine Son, the Church observes two feasts in honor of the Seven Dolors of Mary; one on the Friday before Good Friday and the other on September 15. She has enriched with numerous indulgences the Rosary of the Seven Dolors, as well as a number of other devotions to the Mother of Sorrows. The Gospel, John 19:25, says: Near the Cross of Jesus stood His mother, his mothers sister, Mary, the wife of Cleopas, and Mary Magdalene. At Christs bequest, Mary was proclaimed the universal Mother of mankind from the Cross. Mary had three loves in her Immaculate Heart: God, her Son, and souls. She so loved the world that she gave her only Son. As St. Bernard said, The sword would not have reached Jesus if it had not pierced Marys heart. Mary loved souls and on Calvary, after suffering such cruel torments she merited being the mother of all mankind. St. Ambrose said, I read that she stood, but I do not read that she wept. When Mary gave us her Son, she gave us everything. Therefore it can very well be said: Behold this heart which has so greatly loved all people that it has spared nothing for them. The Seven Graces of this Devotion 1. I will grant peace to their families. 2.They will be enlightened about the Divine mysteries. 3. I will console them in their pains and I will accompany them in their work. 4. I will give them as much as they ask for as long as it does not oppose the adorable will of my Divine Son or the sanctification of their souls. 5. I will defend them in their spiritual battles with the infernal enemy and I will protect them at every instant of their lives. 6. I will visibly help them at the moment of their death, they will see the face of their Mother. 7. I have obtained this Grace from my Divine Son, that those who propagate this devotion to my tears and dolors, will be taken directly from this earthly life to eternal happiness since all their sins will be forgiven and my Son and I will be their eternal consolation and joy.

Benefits of the Devotion to the Mother of Sorrows 1. To realize the value of a soul, worth the supreme Sacrifice on Calvary. 2. To work for souls, by evangelization, duty to lifes duties, and prayer for sinners. 3. To pray always, in a life of union with God; whoever has a heart similar to Jesus and Marys hearts, will work for the salvation of souls. When we commit sin we bring sorrow to Our Lady, for she is, indeed our very Mother, our spiritual Mother, and she watches over us as she watched over her Baby, nearly two thousand years ago. It is the desire of Jesus that we should think of His Passion, to offer Him

our devotion and to renew our sorrow for sin. It is also His desire, as the Church makes clear to us, that we should think of the compassion of Mary in His Passion. Prayer to the Holy Spirit Come O Spirit of Love and renew the face of the earth; grant that it may entirely become once again a new garden of grace and of sanctity, of justice and of love, of communion and of peace, so that the Most Holy Trinity may once again be reflected, pleased and glorified. Come, O Spirit of Love and renew the whole Church; bring it to the perfection of love, of unity and of holiness, that it may become today the greatest of all lights which shines upon all in the great darkness which has spread everywhere. Come, O Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding and open the way for hearts to the understanding of the truth, whole and entire. With the burning force of your divine fire root out every error, sweep away every heresy, so that the light of the truth, which Jesus has revealed, may shine forth for all in its integrity. Come, O Spirit of Counsel and Fortitude and make us courageous witnesses of the Gospel we have received. Sustain the persecuted; encourage the spurned; give strength to the imprisoned; grant perseverance to the downtrodden and tortured; obtain the palm of victory for those who, again today, are being led to martyrdom.

Come, O Spirit of Knowledge, of Piety, and of Fear of God and renew, with the lymph of your divine love, the life of all those who have been consecrated in Baptism and signed with your seal in Confirmation, of those who have offered themselves in service to God, of the bishops, the priests and the deacons, that they may all be enabled to correspond to your plan which you are

THE UNIVERSAL PRAYER - Pope Clement XI

Lord, I believe in you: increase my faith. I trust in you: strengthen my trust. I love you: let me love you more and more. I am sorry for my sins: deepen my sorrow. I worship you as my first beginning, I long for you as my last end, I praise you as my constant helper, And call on you as my loving protector. Guide me by your wisdom, Correct me with your justice, Comfort me with your mercy, Protect me with your power. I offer you, Lord, my thoughts: to be fixed on you; My words: to have you for their theme; My actions: to reflect my love for you; My sufferings: to be endured for your greater glory. I want to do what you ask of me: In the way you ask, For as long as you ask, Because you ask it. Lord, enlighten my understanding, Strengthen my will, Purify my heart, and make me holy. Help me to repent of my past sins And to resist temptation in the future. Help me to rise above my human weaknesses And to grow stronger as a Christian. Let me love you, my Lord and my God, And see myself as I really am: A pilgrim in this world, A Christian called to respect and love All whose lives I touch, Those under my authority, My friends and my enemies. Help me to conquer anger with gentleness, Greed by generosity, Apathy by fervor. Help me to forget myself And reach out toward others. Make me prudent in planning, Courageous in taking risks. Make me patient in suffering, unassuming in prosperity. Keep me, Lord, attentive at prayer,

Temperate in food and drink, Diligent in my work, Firm in my good intentions. Let my conscience be clear, My conduct without fault, My speech blameless, My life well-ordered. Put me on guard against my human weaknesses. Let me cherish your love for me, Keep your law, And come at last to your salvation.

Teach me to realize that this world is passing, That my true future is the happiness of heaven, That life on earth is short, And the life to come eternal. Help me to prepare for death With a proper fear of judgment, But a greater trust in your goodness. Lead me safely through death To the endless joy of heaven. Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen. bringing about in these times of the second Pentecost, so long implored and awaited. Come, Holy Spirit, come by means of the powerful intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, your well-beloved Spouse.
