Series TBS
SERIES TBS air switches are single function controls that provide safe
actuation of electrical devices from remote locations. These basic component
switches are available with either momentary or alternate action switching
logic. Their compact design makes them ideal for use in applications where
size is a primary consideration. TBS300 models feature a center spout for
connecting tubing while the TBS400 models feature a side spout connector.
TBS3200 models employ a metal ftting adapter which allows the tubing
to be clamped to the ftting while TBS3300 models are equipped with a
1/8 NPT pressure connection base pan. The TBS300 and TBS400 units
are designed with a dual spout pressure connector accepting either 1/8 ID
or 1/16 ID fexible plastic or rubber tubing. The TBS3200 connector is
suitable for 1/8 I.D. or 3/16 I.D. tubing. Electrical connections on all TBS
confgurations are made via 1/4 male quick connect terminals. Series TBS
air switches are designed to provide superior performance when used in con-
junction with Tecmark

Pressure Switches
Series 3900
Series 3900 pressure switches are widely used in pilot duty applications
and incorporate feld adjustable set points and internal switch contacts.
These switches convert a pressure signal to an electrical output. In re-
sponse to a change in pressure, movement of an elastomeric diaphragm
opens or closes an electrical circuit based on a predetermined pressure
set point. The Series 3900 feature a compact size and a cost effective,
combination terminal design which allows electrical connection with
either 1/4 quick connect or #8 screw terminals. Pressure ranges as
low as 6 Water Column (W.C.)* up to 5 PSI are available (1.5 kPa to
34.5 kPa). Series 3900 switches assure control stability through wide
temperature and humidity conditions. As with all Tecmark
Command Center
is to
be mounted. The maximum distance between the Command Center
and the thermowell is the total overall length of the sensing bulb and
cable. We recommend that you allow at least 2 of play for easy access
during installation and removal of the bulb from the thermowell.
B) MOUNTING
A peel and stick template is included.
1) Attach the template to the desired mounting surface and follow the
instructions provided on the template for size and location of the
cutout. After the cutout is complete, clean the mounting surface
thoroughly with alcohol and let dry.
2) Remove the green liner from the gasket on the Command Center
,
route the cordset and sensing bulb through the cutout, and install the
control by pressing frmly around the perimeter.
3) Optional mounting screws are available to secure the Command
Center
if necessary.
C) THERMOWELL INSTALLATION
Location of the thermostat sensing bulb is critical. If the thermowell
is installed in the plumbing of the circulation system, then it must be
between the spa and the inlet to the spa heater. (see Fig. A)
As stated previously, ALWAYS USE A THERMOWELL to house the
sensing bulb oI the thermostat at the fnal point oI installation. Location
of the thermostat sensing bulb is critical to control performance. For
the best thermowell installation, see Fig. B. below.
Tecmark
and
carefully align it. Firmly press around all edges of the label to secure it
into place.
CAUTION: When cleaning the faceplate label, use mild soap only.
G) THERMOSTAT ADJUSTMENT KNOB
Thermostat knob should only be installed aIter Iaceplate label is aIfxed
to the Command Center
.
H) WIRING
See Fig. D for the correct wiring, which corresponds with male plug of
the Command Center
.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Proper Installation of the Command Center
is
essential to assure trouble free operation.
INSTRUCTIONS MUST BE FOLLOWED
EXACTLY.
NOTICE: THIS CONTROL IS INTENDED FOR USE IN
CONJUCTION WITH EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURED
TO UL STANDARD 1563 AND /OR CSA STANDARD
C22.2 NO 218.1-M89 REQUIREMENTS. ALL WIRING
MUST BE INSTALLED BY A LICENSED ELECTRICAL
CONTRACTOR AND MUST CONFORM TO THE NA-
TIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE AND ALL LOCAL CODES.
CAUTION: THE COMMAND CENTER
IS A FACTORY
SEALED UNIT AND HAS NO USER SERVICEABLE
COMPONENTS. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO OPEN THE
COMMAND CENTER; SERVICE MUST BE PERFORMED
BY TECMARK
Series SAFPAC
The LectricAir
, which
safely isolates the user from direct contact with the electrical current.
As the button on the air transmitter is depressed and released, air
is transmitted through an air hose to a pressure sensitive electrical
switch in a remote location. The air pressure activates the switch
completing the electrical circuit. The Series CP100s feature easy
access terminal blocks Ior feld wiring and watertight enclosures.
Series CP700 controls incorporate air switches mounted in general
purpose enclosures and are provided with open end wire leads for
feld electrical connections. These controls are UL and CSA approved
and come complete with the control assembly, air hose, transmitter
and installation instructions. Dual Function Packages come complete
with two air hoses and two transmitters. Series CP100 and Series
CP700 are available with alternate action or momentary switching
logic, confgured Ior 120V or 240V applications. They`re designed
and engineered to exceed 100,000 cycles under full electrical and
mechanical loads.
